Like if seafoam makes up something dumb amid all the dumb posts he makes, people who read it aren't the dumb ones to think he might be dumb enough to really mean what he's saying.

We know trump is prone to exaggerating imprecise inflammatory speech.  All it means that people thought this dude was serious is that people think he's unhinged enough to actually mean what he's saying.

Almost.  

The people that believed it aren't necessarily dumb.  It may just be that this Krassenstein guy is crazy enough to mean what he said.  

Now I have no idea who this guy is, and I imagine most people have no idea who this guy is, but there are many people who post similar sentiments quite seriously, so believing he means it, doesn't make them dumb.

Now, the first thing someone should do when they read something like that is assume the account is engagement farming since they usually are, but it takes a long time to learn that.  Most people have no idea how there is a whole industry around folks trying to monetize social media accounts.

A good troll is posting something that is obviously not true but still getting people to bite on it like that one fake HR account that makes up crazy HR encounters.
