Walz admits roll in Somalian fraud: “I am accountable for this".

Recommended Posts

Not saying every Somali commits fraud or benefits from it. Just saying that the overwhelming majority do.

No thanks, I'm in this thread to discuss Walz and Somali fraud, and I'll point out when you are throwing the gun, holster, and used up lighter in your pocket trying to deflect from the discussion.

Fair. And I’ll discuss your shameless hypocrisy and scorching case of MDS! Reeeee!!! :music_guitarred:

Who said I want the investigating to stop?  They should all be audited, that's standard practice.

Sorry, but no matter how much you'd like to deny it, there is a lot of hateful rhetoric about deporting somalis and crying about similar looking flags in here.

It's very simple, audit, investigate, prosecute fraud.  All fraud.  Leave the racism and fake outrage to the side.

Certainly we shouldn't deport anyone here legally.

If you can't see the similarity in flags, I can't fix your eyes or objective interpretation skills.

What you seem unwilling to entertain is the probably larger-scale coordination within the Somali community.  You seem to think it is a wild coincidence that there is a tremendously outsized amount of fraud in Somali day cares, and you are unwilling to entertain a more coordinated, RICO-like criminal activity.

I already proved you wrong on this, the number is in the single digits.  You're being an ignorant racist by repeating this lie.

Yes the flags looks similar, so do lots of other flags, there was no coordination and you look like a fool suggesting it.

I'll entertain the possibility but I need to see evidence, facts, data, truth, not some BS propaganda YT video.  I'd be interested to see any actual reporting on this, but I'm not going to assume anything based on the color of their skin.

Yeah, everyone involved always gets indicted. You know these people have an incredibly high unemployment rate, right?

So you're going to assume that a majority are committing fraud because they are black?

Because they can. Did the Italian mob bid rig contracts because they are Italian?

White people can too.  Do you assume a majority of the people who interact with are fraudsters?

Good for Walz, this is what a true leader does.  Be accountable and make amends.

Exactly. Taking responsibility instead of blaming others. That's what a real leader does.

No. There is no data to remotely support such a foolish notion.

Likewise there is no data to remotely support such a foolish notion that a majority of Somalis are fraudsters.

My muslim neighbor has a dog, but it's a rat dog, not a real dog, and it went after my dog once I had to stop it.

In Haiti dogs and cats are considered pets.  You're thinking of Asia.  Stop repeating this lie.

You look like a fool saying something with certainty when you have no idea if there was coordination or not.  You sound like Real Tim, "Hard Stop1#!$#1" - who I miss BTW, he'd have been fun in this discussion.  He'd tell us about a Somali guy in one of his father's complexes who is quiet and pays his rent on time, and conclude that all Somalis are great and benefit the US.

Anyway, on your latter point, of course, let's have the Feds follow up with thorough investigations, especially since federal tax dollars are involved.  I don't trust anyone affiliated with the MN state government to look into this, for obvious reasons.

And while all Somalis are not under suspicion, all Somali day care centers are.  I would explain to you again that this could be the Russians or Liechtenseinians or Elk Lodge or Italian mafia, but you are caught up in your racissssss boogeyman.

I look like a fool?  I actually looked into this and found no connection.  You should do the same.

Here, I will help you out...

The new Minnesota state flag was officially adopted on May 11, 2024. Its creation was the result of a deliberate legislative process aimed at replacing the old flag, which had been criticized for decades.

How the Flag Came About
The redesign was driven by two main factors:

Aesthetic Concerns: The previous flag was a "seal on a bedsheet"—a complicated state seal on a blue background that was hard to distinguish from other state flags and difficult to recognize from a distance.

Cultural Sensitivity: The old seal depicted a white settler plowing a field while a Native American man rode away on horseback. Many viewed this as a symbol of the displacement and "genocide" of Indigenous people, making it an unwelcoming symbol for many Minnesotans.

In 2023, the Minnesota Legislature created the State Emblems Redesign Commission. They received over 2,100 public submissions. The winning design was a concept by Andrew Prekker, a 24-year-old from Luverne, Minnesota. The commission then simplified his design to its final form.

Was it because of Somalia?
No. There is no evidence that the flag was designed to mimic or honor Somalia. This claim has been thoroughly debunked by the designer and state officials.

Coincidental Similarity: Critics pointed out that the new flag uses a light blue field and a white star, similar to the national flag of Somalia and the regional flag of Puntland. However, many flags use blue and stars (such as Texas, Chile, and the United States).

Designer’s Intent: Andrew Prekker stated he had never seen the Somali flag before creating his design. He drew inspiration solely from other U.S. state flags and Minnesota's own geography.

Minnesota Symbolism: Every element of the flag has a specific Minnesota meaning:

Dark Blue Shape: A stylized outline of the state of Minnesota.

Eight-Pointed Star: The "North Star" (L’Étoile du Nord), matching a design found on the floor of the Minnesota State Capitol rotunda.

Light Blue Field: Represents the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" and the Mississippi River.

The "Somalia" connection became a viral talking point primarily due to Minnesota's large Somali-American population, but the commission confirmed that no specific immigrant group or foreign country influenced the design choices.

Remember how utterly destroyed you got in the bitcoin thread? Day after day? The evidence was inescapable, yet you doubled down. Don't go thinking you have it all figured out, because your bitcoin take was as embarrassingly wrong as any dumb liberal take on here.

I don't remember that at all.

I've owned bitcoin longer than you have, and I've watched you evolve your understanding of it over the years as you fell ass backward into profit. Do you remember how you had it all wrong originally?  Probably not.

You're getting in the neighborhood of getting it though last time I saw you write out an opinion.  Still a long way to go.  You still think it's going to be world currency right?
