Agreed, she put herself in a horrible situation by ignoring orders and attempting to run over a federal agent.

No reason at all to post this, unless you’re trying to attract protestors. Complete lack of professionalism by Noem and the admin.

They are trolls. The WH posts “FAFO” when we bomb countries.

It’s straight out of “Idiocracy”. President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho approves.

She did. They then made this 100x worse. They are the professionals, they are paid well, they are trained, they have weapons, etc.

There were multiple ways to handle this better. This was way down the list.

You’re right, but they’re needlessly throwing gasoline on the fire with this stuff, along with Trump and Noem’s reckless comments and Vance’s claim that ICE has blanket immunity.

If I didn’t know better I’d think they want violent conflict and are actively creating the conditions where it’s more likely to happen.

Yep. I get saying something in a press conference that isn’t perfect in a back and forth (although there should be follow up).

Posting this stuff on social media like some mouth breather teen in the basement is ridiculous.

If your point is that other people are sometimes as stupid, inflammatory and venal as the President is in the regular, you won’t get any argument from me. 👍🏻

It doesn’t really. Why in this situation should cops do what they did leading up to the shooting.

The road is not blocked.

If it is time to arrest a person doing this shet in this scenario - a parked car in the road - Wouldn’t it be better to put a car in front and in back of the car and then pull her out of car?

Stop sticks thrown under from the side.  Also paint ball marking of the car if it tries to run.  Sort of the dye pack in the bank money during robberies theory.

Yeah likely not going to go to jail.

The problem is we can all see that this didn’t need to end like this and should hold cops to a standard way above this.

I agree.  I also think we should hold ourselves to a standard way above this (her conduct intending to precipitate a confrontation and potentially a crisis).

These are more options. I don’t know if this protestor’s actions event amount to stop sticks TBH. What was the threat?

Sort of off topic, but the Philly sheriff is a 27-year veteran of the force who ran for elected office. That clip isn’t a good look, but neither is calling every minority you disagree with a DEI hire.

The guy lost his temper and shot her 3 times. That's what happened.

The reason the original 50+ page thread was deleted was because this simple truth couldn't be ignored anymore, so like a snowflake they just deleted the thread instead. Typical MAGA.

Max O didn't delete it.  No one knows why it got deleted but I'd bet it was a mod decision.

Stop sticks help assure temporary investigative detention.  There does not have to be a threat, only reasonable articulable supicion that a crime has occured or is occuring.  In this instance I find that to exist.  They were intentionally, knowingly, and recklessly interfering with law enforcement.  More than enough to deploy stop sticks.

Agreed.  There is, however, plenty of visual evidence to call her morbidly obese.

I don't think so, I believe it was the mods, as it appears that Max O. also got deleted (since he is now using his longtime alias League Champion).

Their site, their rules.  Still, in thread deletions there is always an element of throwing the baby out with the bath water.  It is one of those things where there is no good solution.  It is also a good analogy to the current situation.  If enough chaos and discord can be created such that the adults in the room become exhausted then extreme remedies occur.

I used to be a mod elsewhere.  We always just locked the thread and took appropriate action against the bad actors.  That way you don't lose the intellectual property that was created within the thread before it was locked.  Remove individual posts if they're overly offensive as needed.

I don’t  have a problem with that. This is borderline “reckless” behavior to me but yeah people shouldn’t be doing this so I guess it meets the rest.

Good description…it also includes removal from car and handcuffing.

Philly PD…which means the commissioner is familiar with her storied career and leadership, so all the more laughable that he released that memo.

Yeah, I bet she was out there putting in the work. More like stinking up the station house with her fish in the microwave.

I couldn’t have even named the sheriff before that clip and she does indeed come off as a buffon. But she has 27 years of experience on the Philly PD and tan for sheriff.

That’s not DEI, unless every minority MAGA doesn’t like is a “DEI hire.”

Listen to her ignorant talk.  DEI all the way. For 27 years.
