MEN do watch. Women's sports does not have a male viewership problem. It has a female viewership problem. This is the reason why the WNBA bleeds money. It can not count on the support of other women. The majority of WNBA fans are male. It is something like 70-30 male and SKILL is quite literally THE reason why men prefer to watch (certainly not the womens looks) They can't play above the rim and most of us can't either so they have to do basic skills that most men can look at and relate to. As a lifelong baseball fan I absolutely disagree. Softball is one of the most watchable female sports and is very close to baseball.

The WNBA is an obvious money loser. It is estimated that they have lost 280 million in the 28 years it has existed. The NBA subsidizes them because in the eyes of the NBA it gets basketball on the screen during times it would not normally be. In that same way of thinking why does the MLB not subsidize a pro softball league? The leagues are not far off when it comes to how much each team makes. Both in the 300 million a year. Why not make it so a form of baseball is on all the time? Softball is pretty entertaining and the women actually look like women,,,most of the time.

I think you expect far to much from a board that very rarely takes anything seriously and has a juvenile sense of humor for pretty much everything. We have a dead pool for christ sake. And, the same women who say they would rather be in the woods with a bear are also perfectly fine with a strange man in the women's bathroom. As long as that man FEELS like he is a woman. Just keep that in mind as more women support trans rights than men. Finally, the joke. It would make sense for women to pick a bear over a random man. Bear is over 6ft tall, Violent, has multiple babies, is extremely violent. Right in the wheelhouse of what far too many women look for.
