Mike FF Today 608 Posted June 6, 2017 Projections & Rankings for 2017 Always nice to get these launced for the season. They've been up for a few days now but I've kept them on the down-low we work to the Draft Buddy up for sale. We'll do a couple updates in June then get on our weekly Thursday update schedule beginning in July. We'll be adding our Player Outlooks beginning next week.. 2-3 teams per week. Note: We're working on some fundamental code changes to the site, so many of the MyFFToday functions (create/edit a league profile, track players) aren't functioning correctly. We hope to have this fixed soon. If you already have custom leagues saved, then you should be able to view projections for those leagues with no problem. Am I the only one that loves Pierre Garcon?

I love Garcon, I do not love anything else about his situation.
lesjroza 70 Posted June 6, 2017 Am I the only one that loves Pierre Garcon? No! Due to likely team game scripts/situation and pass catcher depth chart I have been scooping him where I can at current prices..............but at the same time when it seems too easy there usually turns out to be a valid reason. Buried somewhere in all the Carlos Hyde beat reporter hate I think I remember an observation along the lines of Garcon has done nothing to stand out in OTAs so its possible we may really have to count primarily on the volume at this point. Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted June 6, 2017 Holy crap. Gurley below Miller and Lynch. Paul Perkins one spot below Gurley? That's some boldness right there. Boldness that I do not agree with at all, but still nice to see something different.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted June 6, 2017 Benjamin's upside just seems extremely limited to me, while Cooks upside has got to be one of the highest ceilings there is. That alone would have Cooks ahead of Kbenj for me. Cooks has been a borderline WR1, and there were weeks he was blatantly ignored by the game plan/Drew Brees. Boldness that I do not agree with at all, but still nice to see something different. I'm always intrigued to come out of my 5-6 week projection/rankings bubble and see what others have done. I figured I'd be a little higher than most on Perkins and nobody likes receivers on bad teams (Garcon) even though you can peg one or two each year (Britt last season) that are good bet to significantly outperform their ADP. Obviously, we're in the early stages of the pre-season and my opinions/thoughts will change as news develops. My main concern is the Giants haven't run the ball effectively the last two seasons (just 11 TDs totals) but I think Perkins has good opportunity to surprise with a little better line play an no more additions to the backfield. Mike FF Today 608 Posted June 6, 2017 I'm probably going to be lower on Cooks than most... and can actually see him moving down my rankings in our next update. Even if Brady throws for 5000 yards, they've got so many receiving targets including Lewis, Burkhead and White who can all catch the ball out of the backfield, that I have a hard time seeing him as mid-to-low WR1 but more of a mid WR2. However, if we get the sense that Dion Lewis (who I've got projected for 305 receiving yards) is not going to be much of a factor and lose playing time to James White, then I can see Cooks picking up a couple more hundred yards which would vault him up closer to current ADP. weepaws 2,460 Posted June 6, 2017 Why so little love for Mr Crowell. I think he's worthy of high Rb2.
weepaws 2,460 Posted June 6, 2017 W Snead I think will be a great bargain at your asking price. I have him ranked in ppr as a low Wr2.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted June 6, 2017 I know you have to be "safe" on projections but Gronk is too low. If you don't have the risk tag next to him and expect him to play he will be a monster. When he got rolling last year he was putting up crazy numbers again.
SpenceToons 70 Posted June 6, 2017 I haven't done much more than skim over the lists but here were some rankings that raised an eyebrow... Giovani Bernard as the RB27 ahead of Tevin Coleman as the RB28. Carson Wentz as the QB15 ahead of Marcus Mariota as the QB17. Dak Prescott so low as the QB21. Davante Adams so low as the WR35. weepaws 2,460 Posted June 6, 2017 Hunt is listed 22 spots below Ware, he's better and will be the starter. I see Mccaffery with only 35 rec that's to low.

When he got rolling last year he was putting up crazy numbers again. My bad. I should have an injury risk icon next to Gronk. I don't have him playing a full season, yet he's still my No.1 ranked TE given his upside should he manage to make it through all 16.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted June 7, 2017 I haven't done much more than skim over the lists but here were some rankings that raised an eyebrow... Giovani Bernard as the RB27 ahead of Tevin Coleman as the RB28. Carson Wentz as the QB15 ahead of Marcus Mariota as the QB17. Dak Prescott so low as the QB21. Davante Adams so low as the WR35. Totally agree on Bernard lower than Coleman and Adams at 35. Just due to returning from injury Coleman should be higher. Then factor in he is more talented on a higher power offense in a division that scores a lot of points. Then on top of that Coleman is an injury away from being an RB1 if he received full workload if a Freeman injury were to happen. There is really no story you could tell where Bernard could put you over the top in winning your league. Davante Adams has already proven he can put up WR1 numbers. He took the 3rd year leap last year. Plays with the best fantasy QB in football and a team that throws inside the 5. You have him behind Eric Decker? I player coming off of major surgery without a team. That makes no sense.
weepaws 2,460 Posted June 7, 2017 If Adams scores 12 tds again would be nice. If you look at his rec total and yards they equal Hopkins numbers. Expect he scored 8 more tds. I think a wr35 is way to low based on the fact he playes with Rodgers alone makes him atleast a high wr2.
weepaws 2,460 Posted June 7, 2017 Pryors numbers are lower then he posted last season without a QB to pass him the ball. I think with Cousins he can equal or even surpass those number he posted last yr.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted June 7, 2017 Pryors numbers are lower then he posted last season without a QB to pass him the ball. I think with Cousins he can equal or even surpass those number he posted last yr. I also like Pryor. I think that he will get targets in the red zone and deep shots. Recently I've been touting Garcon due to volume but I'm starting to ease off him. If camp reports keep coming back about him looking washed up AND the fact that D's should be able to take him out of a game as he is the only passing game option. weepaws 2,460 Posted June 7, 2017 When I look at volume I just need to look at Hopkins and Robinson from last season. Going into last season in ppr leagues they where being drafted late first round early second round. Hopkins had 151 targets ranking him 8th in targets and Robinson had 150 ranking him ninth in targets. Hopkins finshed the season ranked 35 in points scored for wr in ppr and Robinson was 36. Volume without production equals very little ff points. I was excitied about Garçon also but he's dropped on my board, just to many question marks.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted June 7, 2017 Pryors numbers are lower then he posted last season without a QB to pass him the ball. I think with Cousins he can equal or even surpass those number he posted last yr. Yeah, sort of ridiculous. When the mocks come out and Pryor is flying off the boards by the end of the 4th at worst they will adjust. We are talking about a QB who nearly threw for 5K with a couple of 2/3s. Pryor is a legit 1.
Ray_T 591 Posted June 7, 2017 Just curious. Does anyone here think Gio may be ranked a bit high when you consider he is coming off of another ACL surgery? He had an ACL surgery in college as well on the other knee. At this point I'd be scared to draft him as a RB2 and that's exactly where he is ranked. Especially when you consider there is no guarantee he will be playing week 1.
weepaws 2,460 Posted June 7, 2017 Is he really ranked as a rb2? There is no way he's worth that high of a draft pick, not even in a ppr.
Ray_T 591 Posted June 8, 2017 Is he really ranked as a rb2? There is no way he's worth that high of a draft pick, not even in a ppr. Low end RB2 but an RB2 nonetheless. ranked #24. I'd be inclined to rank him a bit lower. Probably in the #30 Range.

He's had quite a few injuries through out his career at UNC and in the NFL. They are going to add up at some time. You see how much trouble Jamaal Charles has had coming back from his 2nd ACL tear. Outlook not good.
weepaws 2,460 Posted June 8, 2017 Plus the Bengals drafted Mixon. I was interested to see for myself his ranking. I went to ffcalculator.com and they have him ranked at number 50 in the Rb rankings in a ppr league.
Super Cubs 132 Posted June 11, 2017 The past 2 or 3 seasons of early FFtoday ranking and projections it seemed like it was expected that Drew Brees arm was going to fall off. Now he's back in the top 3. Time to sell.
