    I'm not jinxing nuthin...
  2. This is the same faulty logic used throughout the feminism movement. The belief that women want to go through all of the crap and personal sacrifices to attain a job where you have to deal with even more crap, at the same rate as men. It's just not true. That being said, it is true that female professors have faced discrimination from their male counterparts, which is funny in a sad way. The vast majority of professors, as we know, are Leftist. Apparently it's more important to support baby-murdering terrorist organizations than their female peers.
  3. Why? Are men and women perfectly equally qualified to run elite institutions? Do the same number of each go into administrative careers?
  4. There was definitely a feeling after the MIT search that they looked for the most qualified woman. Much like their general admission process, they have the (perceived) flexibility to pick from whatever intersectional group they want, since the resume of such a person will seem excellent. But somehow, in the end, it doesn't seem quite as excellent as required for the greatest technical university in the world. One could argue that the selection committee never anticipated the need to deal with a protest group supporting a proven terrorist regime, but regardless, she hasn't proven up to the task.

I went to the range today and tried this. It was... surprisingly effective. Not surprising that the ball went higher so much, that's physics. But the fact that I hit it mostly straight given so many changes to my swing -- ball more forward, reverse K with weight on back foot, and avoiding forward sway were the main things. Yeah, I hit a few 25 degree moon shots off to the right, but again, for such radical changes, it went quite well. For some reason, and I hadn't started drinking... I used my Garmin A10 and, while I got a lot of good info, I never put it in the mode where I could see swing speed. My usual driver speed is 95-100. But I feel like the forward sway is more harm than good -- while it adds some speed, it often causes a more downward angle and a Mr. Snappy to the left. I plan to go back and use this mode. I also use a SuperSpeed swing speed knockoff, where I'll try this modified swing in my training. I did put the ball a little more forward than my heel. The instructor advised a wider stance to move the center of his stance back more. Problem with that is, for me, that it overly restricts my rotation. So I moved the ball more forward (which he said he does anyway) and it allowed me to hit up AND get the rotation. Finally, I tried this a little on irons and it was very effective. Not that I was trying to hit up per se, but I think I had the ball too far back. I was very happy with the flight of my W/8/6 irons, particularly the reverse K and keeping the forward sway down. Thanks WW!
  6. MIT kicked out their mostly peaceful invasion, finally. Ten arrests. President Sally Kornbluth really really wanted to let them continue violating rules for such protests, because she has proven to be quite the woke virtue signaler in her year-ish at the helm, but apparently it became too much even for her. Maybe Stephen Shwarzman called her and said he was pulling his money that supports the computing college.
  7. He said no harm, no foul, and let it go, because she was political royalty, and they never prosecute politicians for this stuff. Until now. It's funny how you just don't realize that you prove our point with every post.
  8. She ordered her people to delete emails. It's in the Comey report, I just pasted it.
  9. Non-responsive, Venn Diagram answer. Here, I'll copy and paste it for you, with a modification for your words: I didn't bother to copy the part where, when confronted, she deleted tens of thousands of emails and physically destroyed her Blackberry (FactCheck left that part out). https://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/best-of-clinton-fbi-report-227692 Does this behavior meet your definition of "obstruction"? Put another way: If Trump had responded by destroying documents, thus behaving similarly to Hillary, would you define that as Trump being obstructive?

KC is so bad, it named itself after a different state.

  13. It's obvious why Hillary was not? This should be good...

Doe This Apple Ad Offend You ?

No. Why would it? It seems to imply that you can replace those instruments with the new iPad; that's marketing.

No, I haven't been to Istanbul. You "just spent the summer there?" Like, when is "just?" Last summer? Please tell us more. What took you to Istanbul for the summer? I also presume that your posts here from last summer were all during the evening, since it is literally on the other side of the planet. Looking forward to learning more about this.
