To be fair, it could be as few as three years, that was true after the late 1970's inflation, though prices never returned to pre-Carter levels, they did at least get back down close in 1983. SO then perhaps in as few as 3 years, but I suspect it will be 10 That someone of your meager intellect when it comes to economics does not understand this is reasonable. To be clear, some costs have come down. Energy costs and other important areas have come down as hoped, and are a welcome reprieve to people who recently suffered through the work economy of their lifetime. TO wring the rest out, as I have repeatedly stated, can take years....and if another democrat were to gain the presidency and fock it up again, well, maybe longer yet. Tariffs are a minor impact to inflation, they are more market centric, whereas feal impacts across the spectrum come from say labor...which has been increasing. I do not recall you being concerned during the Biden era, certainly not as much as you appear to be today, in fact I recall you defending him. So if we see a right of the decimal rise in june and then an equal decrease in july.....are you going to have some other story, or at that point will you accept the normal ebb and flow of iinflation in the below "3s" as we always see as just part of the flow?

Sure, three months was my estimate, but given that it is far more likely the minor uptick was due to labor.....it really doesnt matter one way or another. Pretending its tariffs is just something you tell yourself so you can hate.....so I see no point in that. That today, you see this right of the decimal uptick as meangful when you did not care when Biden was driving it to astronomin levels just highlights your hypocrisy really.

Again, where was all this concern when Biden was causing inflation to soar to incredible heights? That you seem to have a deep concern today suggests you should have back then as well

When inflation causes prices to rise....those prices do not lower as inflation lowers.....this is how economics works, that you do not understand or appreciate this factor is problematic

I see this as more of the fracturing of the Democrat party than anything else. The far left radicals hold too much influence now, they hate everything and everyone, notably this nation. So as they grow the Democrat polling will go down. The leftists hate moderate Democrats as much as Republicans. So I think we are watching a party splinter into two. This might seem bad but I think that eventually we end up with three parties.....which might actually save the Democrat party as the elimination of leftists would entice the moderates they have lost to come back. JMHO
