Agreed. Peenie seems to think it is an either/or thing. My parents were married since I was born, so that was modeled behavior which I planned to follow... after having fun in college and immediately after. But I also knew my dad got married at 38, and that he was considered something of a player up until then. So it didn't seem odd to have fun first. Funny thing is, I got married at 26, 12 years younger than my dad was. I used to say to my wife that the only thing I wish had been different was if I had met her 5 years later. I had been in Phoenix < 1 year when we started dating, and there are a ton of hot chicks here.

The real answer is that looks are a proxy for fertility. Symmetrical features are due to healthy genes which replicated efficiently. A 70% waist to hip ratio indicates a good body for giving birth. Breasts feed our babies. This is for the women we choose to be monogamous with. If we bang some other chick who we aren't tied to but they have our baby (from a caveman perspective), that's fine, maybe the kid will live and our genes will continue on.
