Good pick on Favre. I almost took him at this turn, but I confess . . . I don't want to have the whole Vikings offense. :dunno:

I was taking Favre as a back to back selection with Kolb right here. I really thought I had it! Nice pick! Dude is gonna play and easily earn this draft position!!!

Then we're even, I was going to take Kolb. :dunno:

If Favre plays, he should easily outplay his draft position. And at this point, I'd be surprised if he didn't play.

Ahhhh Hell! Instead of changing plans I'll just adjust it. I had Cutler right behind Kolb (had Favre above both just thought he might travel one more spot). We'll see if Martz can control this cannon. There is a hodge podge of talent available at Wr and Rb with one suprise at Rb. I will let you all sift through them and give them another look in a bit. Right now Cutler makes the most sense to me given my other Qb is new. Cutler finished much better than he started and I feel he is still a Franchise QB. Hopefully Martz doesn't get him killed. This pick makes both "No Hassle" and Real Fantasy Football sense to me.

Was it just me or is it really a crap shoot right now, and a time to grab points? I feel very confident that I will see similar choices much later at Rb Wr, and TE.

yeah, you are right.

made a tough choice between Barber and another couple of players. I am not on the Felix Jones bandwagon and think Barber will end up being the best RB to own in Dallas yet again. He injured himself in week 2 and really wasn't the same but should be 100% to start 2010. even if Felix stays healthy and becomes the "lead back" i see a 50-40-10 split at worst with Marion remaining the goal line guy which I am fine with in this format. Also doesn't share a bye with CJ2k and Grant.

From what I've seen of Mike Wallace he looked good. Should get plenty of looks opposite Hines Ward in Pitts offense. Maybe a tad bit early but I'm high on the kid. What can I say. I think once we see him in preseason games Wallaces ADP will be in the 5-6 round range in August. Just a hunch.

Barber was the back I mentioned above and a great 7th rounder :(

Wallace is making the rounds as a very nice looking sleeper impact player this season. I only wish he had Ben from the get go and didn't have to wait of his Qb to wind up. That is really gonna tip off a good DB or safety. After week 4, around week 6 Wallace could really fly!

I was Shocked Harrison went before him and Jacobs, I suppose Harrison has a chance of being the starter and keeping it. Cleveland's rbbc tends to favor the starter by 60-70%. Still Dallas offense> than the Browns and assuming Felix does "start" Barber getting 40% of the carries instead of 50% and goal line work is more than worth it. Combined with the news out of Cleveland as well.

Dan

1.01- RB Adrian Peterson, Min.

2.12- WR Sidney Rice, Min.

3.01- WR Greg Jennings, GB

4.12- WR Hines Ward, Pit.

5.01- TE Brent Celek, Phi.

6.12 - RB Carnell Williams, TB

7.01 - RB Michael Bush, OAK

Very manageable from here. If you can land a starter quality QB next time around you will be fairly solid weekly. Ward as a #3 Wr is pretty damn good, but I wonder what this squad would look like with a qb at that pick, sadly a tier had passed by ADP wise (outside of Brett). If Bush is productive, you will be tough. Celek will be excellant in PPR leagues. Hopefully he gets redzone looks from his best friend and roomie, my QB!!!! Rice and AP are tight and Favre would have been fine.

Vikings4Ever

1.02- RB Maurice Jones-Drew, Jax.

2.11- RB Jamaal Charles, KC

3.02- WR Marques Colston, NO

4.11- TE Antonio Gates, SD

5.02- WR Dwayne Bowe, KC

6.11- RB Justin Forsett, Sea.

7.02 - QB Brett Favre, MIN

Great balance as always, but not quite the quality I normally see from your squad at this point. Your early hopes for a next level team are pinned to two Chiefs, and that offense. Colston will rebound well and add TD's. MJD is a Td machine.

Remote Controller

1.03- RB Ray Rice, Bal.

2.10- RB Ryan Mathews, SD

3.03- WR DeSean Jackson, Phi.

4.10- WR Chad Ochocinco, Cin.

5.03- TE Jermichael Finley, GB

6.10- QB Kevin Kolb, Phi.

7.03 - QB Jay Cutler, CHI

I'm happy with my balance and feel I can fill this team in easily. I feel the key to my team thus far is mathews being the top Rookie rb as advertised. This is new territory for me because I'm not a risk taker. I am really happy to have Finley, and feel my Qb combo will be manageable weekly and great in this format. (don't check their bye weeks)

White Wonder

1.04- RB Chris Johnson, Ten.

2.09- WR Roddy White, Atl.

3.04- RB Ryan Grant, GB

4.09- QB Philip Rivers, SD

5.04- TE Vernon Davis, SF

6.09- WR Santana Moss, Was.

7.04 - RB Marion Barber, DAL

This is a nice team, and I shatred in allowing half of it. The key was what he took from me though. He pilfered Rivers, and White from me. This team is gonna be fun to build on and my early favorite of teams I've covered so far. Nice balance, and this team takes off, when VJax comes in and if Barber scores double digit Td's which is very possible.

KSB2424

1.05- WR Andre Johnson, Hou.

2.08- WR Miles Austin, Dal.

3.05- RB Cedric Benson, Cin.

4.08- QB Matt Schaub, Hou.

5.05- RB Jahvid Best, Det.

6.08- RB Brandon Jacobs, NYG

7.05 - WR Mike Wallace, PIT

I like the way you worked this. You started with an excellant Wr tandem then went to work on a running game. The nice thing was you paused to grab last years top passer to pair with your #1 Wr.. Great work!! Young legs and a bull dozer finished up your running game. I think Wallace is the perfect project #3, who could return #2 #'s. This was the most interesting plan and route to the balance you acheived. I think you can easily grab a top 6 or 7 TE in this format to fill this squad out. Nice Work here!!

Talk about 5 evenly matched teams. I hope my critique on V4E isn't misunderstood. His team is right in the thick of this. He's just not easily leading my rankings, at this point, like usual. His track record makes me feel good about my yearly takes as he has done well! Great Mock!!!

One of the downsides of the way this draft has gone so far is my having to send lists for 4 of my 7 picks so far. And since I'm at a corner, I have to send a list for 2 picks at once, which means I can't adjust my strategy based on how the draft is going.

If I'd been here, I'd probably have taken Best over Bowe, and then gone with Wallace or ______ over Forsett.

I think I've assembled a good, not great, team so far. Some of the picks I've made I haven't too high on, but I didn't particularly like the value available at the pick. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the IBL, where I rarely have to make a pick I don't like.

everyone is high on Wallace

i like alot of what you have done so far but dislike this pick. if you have a conviction about a guy i will never knock you for taking him, especially considering he probably doesnt make it back to you, i just think its too high for his situation.

Wallace could be one of the exceptions in the learning curve of a young WR, but consider that he will likely not only have to adjust to NFL defenses learning him, but he'll likely be changing positions as well. He was a home run threat last year, but that was as a slot receiver. Can he do the same on the outside? Perhaps, but understand that "the same" would be 39 receptions. That's glowing.

Fred Jackson - I'll like this pick a lot more when BUF/SEA pull the trigger on a deal for the BUF #3 RB. There were WRs I liked a little better here but looking ahead I think the RBs will dry up faster so wanted to grab a NFL starter now. I do think the rookie will steal touches but not as much as everyone else I think. It comes down to how quickly they can pass block effectively and I don't think the rookie will be too effective in that area this season.

7.01- Dan- RB Michael Bush, Oak.

Meh, I think he will get some looks, but unless McFadden gets injured not enough, decent pick here regardless, "investment" pick....

7.02- Vikings4ever- QB Brett Favre, Min.

I do not really know what Favre is going to do here, I think he desperately wants to come back, and believes he can lead this team to a Super Bowl victory, and that fact will motivate him to do it just one more time, but i am not certain, depending on the injury situation, he may decide his body cannot perform where he needs it to, and if he finds that his play will degrade appreciably, he wont come back....I am skeered to pick him until his decision is "final"

7.03- Remote Controller- QB Jay Cutler, Chi.

Fine pick where taken, gamble, but a fair gamble...

7.04- WhiteWonder- RB Marion Barber, Dal.

Let's see how the off season banter and the pressure from Jones et al impact his performance, I have concerns, but I think he could emerge if his attitude is as beastly as his build....

7.05- KSB2424- WR Mike Wallace, Pit.

There is a lot to like about Wallace, by season's end he will edge out the others, and establish himself as the #1 WR on the team, making him a darling in next years draft...

TJ Housh and Gonzo were the two best players on the board, in my opinion. I would have been just as happy, maybe happier, if I would have just done this instead of getting cute and snagging a second qb. Housh as a #3 Wr, and Gonzo as a #2 TE would have likely been more valuable, especially simce we start three Wr's. Live and learn.

Well, I can say for the first time during this draft that I've now had a player stolen from me. Housh was my guy all along...I felt he was the perfect veteran #3 WR to go with Crabtree and Harvin. Now, I'm left to figure out what to do next.

Robb..not happy with you at the moment.

My rationale with Bush is in his potential. He has shown more than McFadden from the RB position, and some talk has McFadden lining up more in the slot or even on the outside. If any of that is true, then this is a quality "value" pick, as he could turn into a very nice #2. BUT . . . he is part of a package plan, and I'm looking for something between him and C. Williams, and I like my chances.

I considered Housh, despite my starting WR corps being set, but feel he's too much a clone of what I just drafted, without as much of a track record. I decided to wait for a different type of gamble.

Looks like it's time to pick for NAn.

No way, give him a break. It's 8:30 in the morning where he is at. We can be patient for another hour. He will show.
