Preseason Overreactions

Recommended Posts

I aint drafting a Chicago Bear this year. They will have the #1 overall pick next year. They looked like the strike shortened 1987 season Chicago Bears.

you have been warned, stay away

They were also playing the Broncos. They have a pretty easy sched this year. Alshon will be good when he plays. Zach Miller may be a solid relief tight end if he stays on the field. One of the running backs may emerge as a solid RB2.

this belongs in the preseason rationalization thread.

They will not have the worst record in the NFL. They may not have a lot of relevant fantasy football players but they are still going to push 8 wins. No reason to not draft Jeffery, White or Langford depending on what round they are available in.

(My overreaction...)

Sanchez was 10 of 13 for 98 yards (including a 32 yd underthrown TD to Thomas)

Siemian was 7 of 12 for 88 yards

Lynch was 6 of 7 for 74 yards

Was this performance of the Bronco QBs just passable enough that I might have to give some grudging consideration to drafting Thomas (and later Sanders) if he's the best WR available to me when I go on the clock ?

But one can say it's the preseason and that the Bears gave up the 7th most fantasy points to QBs last year.

That game is a terrible way to make any judgement on how either team is going to be yet. Way too early.

Gaffney looked decent running for NE. He has the size and pedigree, but has been injured his first 2 years. Blount is hot garbage.

(nevermind.....don't draft RB's that play for the Hoodie)

Demarious Thomas will be awesome even with sanchez, Chris Ivory will score double digit touchdowns and some guy a robinson on Atlanta will be unstoppable

So this thread is just a huge waste of everyone's time.

A few people commenting on this thread apparently need to turn up their sarcasm detection meters a few notches.

A couple things I know it is week one.

Looks like Langford is sucks. I didn't watch the game but based on comments here I have read and his stats you can draft him. Rotoworld is calling it his job to lose. I still will stay away.

A.Rob will be a stud. More big plays. I seems his bound with Bortles is top notch.

No sure what to think in Baltimore but keep a eye out for West. He could be a great value late in drafts.

I think Dem. Thomas might wind up being a solid round 3 pick. He's still capable of the big plays.

That's all I got so far.

Preseason is a bad method of determining future value. Best to ignore it completely or just keep up with the news and notes about injury and players roles in the offense. Spare yourself the pain of drafting the next Abdullah. Coaches run vanilla offenses and its really just for shaping the roster and the backend guys on the bubble.

Except kickers...you can judge kickers. Aguayo missed his first pat, is a bust already.

Ryan Mathews will score 39 touchdowns

Jimmy G. to Black Unicorn for 100 receptions

Redskins 0-16

Kapri Bibbs will lead the Broncos in carries and rushing yards

Malcolm Mitchell's arm will get healed in the same manner as the kid in Rookie of the Year and will sign a contract with the Red Sox

Terrence West is going to win me my league Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. He will lead the league in Rushing. Draft him in round 1! (okay, Hyperbole combined with overreaction)

Waht did I miss with Bennett? He had like 33yds and a few catches yesterday, is there some news im not seeing that is causing this swell of "kind of joking, kind of not" hype?

Their qbs weren't any better then what Sanchez brings to the table last year. I wouldn't worry about drafting DT or Manny.

3 rec for 33... but in about 1/2 of one quarter.

multiply by 8 as it's an overreaction thread.
