    Charlie Kirk was just shot

Leftists have categorized the dumbest things as hate speech for years. Have a problem with boys going in the girls bathroom? Hate speech. Want criminals locked up in jail? Hate speech. Want illegals booted out of the country? Hate speech. They take the absolute dumbest positions on things and then accuse the other aide of being the bad guys and wanting people dead. They make up things like trans genocide and pretend that white people are more dangerous to black people. They fake cry for drug addicted felons. They force us to spend an insane anount of money on the absolute worst students. They demand that you allow crazy homeless people to take a dump on the sidewalk in front of your business because it would be worse to force a crazy homeless sidewalk pooper to have to move away from your business. For every one of these positions, these crazy morons have convinced themselves that their position is righteous. Even now with Kirk you can find countless people saying that it is good that he is dead or that he deserved it. They are so delusional. We are seeing the results of their activism. They have no idea how badly the democrat party is going to get buried as people keep waking up to it.
  2. I'm talking about the increase, not trans in general. I have posted multiple times that I believe there are a small subset of trans people who have gender dysphoria. To that end, it disappoints me that a lot of folks (including this site) don't agree, and just jump on the "boys can't be girls" wagon. I think Brianna presents an excellent path to getting to an accurate and reasonable place. Which is basically where we were 10-15 years ago, when sanity ruled the day. But @The Real timschochetchooses to believe political groups instead of reality, and @squistion seems to believe whatever Kyle Griffin says, but he knows best.

Brianna Wu: If I were in charge of the trans movement...

Thanks Jerry, but I don’t care. To me it’s like having a Jew deny the Holocaust. Some have (famously, Bobby Fischer) but that doesn’t take away the truth of the event. Kanye West has argued that American chattel slavery was a good thing. Shall I consider his comments on the subject to be more merit worthy than others because he is a black man? I don’t. I didn’t have any personal opinion on the question of the explosion of the number of trans people until quite recently. What I read, from most medical experts and psychiatrists and psychologists, is that it’s a result of people feeling free to express their innermost feelings, that the same numbers were always there but hidden. This intuitively made sense to me. I also read a minority of opinion that it was a “social contagion.” Since this opinion was mostly spread from people whom I judged to be bigoted against trans (and before that bigoted against homosexuality) I treated this minority opinion with a great amount of skepticism. I still do. But in the end I regard this as a scientific question, equivalent to the best way to land an airplane. When the majority of experts change their opinion on this subject I will as well.
  4. No. It was relevant to the sentence I quoted, which Wu wants to “change the conversation to.” I had never heard of Wu before today, but she is described by you as “influential in the trans community.” And she has had multiple posts showing her disdain for Gaines, who is probably one of the most well-known people that is “dehumanizing to trans people.”

    Charlie Kirk was just shot

Her father is trans. Pay no mind.
  6. (possibly Tranny) There is nothing in the CNN article from the OP to indicate the 13 year old is trans. And anyone could be "possibly tranny"

Charlie Sheen had sex with men as well...

I figured YOU would since 90% of your posts seem to be about trans or gay issues. Perhaps you find Charlie’s admission to be “liberating” as well?
  8. "No specific criminal justice proposals have been advanced at this time," a Justice Department spokesperson said when asked about the media reports." Well yeah, not only is it unconstitutional but how will they know who is a transgender when they purchase a gun? Seriously, will there be a national registry of those who identify as trans that they can check against?

RFK Jr. is embarrassing himself before Congress

Trans doesn’t exist it’s made up liberal bs
  11. I am for letting women decide what to do with their own bodies, for gay marriages, for trans gender rights "Other than bio men competing against women in sporting events." Voting rights for all documented US citizens. That is MAGA? "

Florida Moves to End Vaccine Mandates for Schoolchildren

You don't know much about the school system here in FL, the cost is relatively the same pubic or private because of credits issued by the state. If a parent wants allow thier child to be trans that is no business of mine, I don't agree with it but that's not what you asked There's a whole lot of whatabouts in your posts, is there going to be a few instances where the parent has limited choices, sure, that doesn't mean the parents shouldn't be the one making the choice to vacinate.

    Partisanship in one chart

I think this is another in an endless parade of examples of mostly reasonable, intelligent people deciding suddenly that literally every single person that disagrees with them (about pretty much anything) or identifies as something they don't agree with (trans, homosexual, democrat) is an absolute moron with zero ability to think for themselves. I despise Trump and most of what MAGA stands for, but you're never going to read a post from me saying that every Republican/R voter is "an utter and complete mindless lemming gaslit collection of vapid human shells." Not so long ago, you would have had a problem with it, too. But here we are. That's what I'm talking about, not the poll.
  14. Brianna is right: true trans people with gender dysphoria are going to lose their medical care and legal protections because the Woke Left made trans a hipster social contagion.
  15. Strangely all the liberals that were posting heartfelt messages on their Facebook pages demanding change and scoffing at prayer after the trans shooting will be silent. Must just be on the lake.

    Rep Nancy Mace

I've been meaning to respond to this, as you repeatedly ask the above, but I hadn't gotten around to it. When I tried searching for statistics of violent crimes BY transgenders, all of the results were for violent crimes AGAINST transgenders. Odd. I tried both Google and DuckDuckGo. You would think that such algorithms would be sophisticated enough to understand my search. Regardless, I'm left to conclude that either such data doesn't exist, or they don't want me to see it. More importantly though, there is a danger in relying on past results to predict future results, particularly when the systems generating those results have undergone significant change. I point this out frequently to @The Real timschochet whenever he quotes statistics about the economic benefits of immigration. In the case of trans women, until recently we have had much fewer trans people, and those generally had to go through years of therapy, much of the latter end I presume in learning how to coexist in society. But now we have a social contagion (please don't argue we don't, you are too smart for that) and a large industry built around "gender affirmation." Think about that -- "affirmation" implies that we accept your belief as the default. Much has been documented about the comorbidities that trans folks have with other mental health issues; if you want me to search for some links I can. Somebody posted that link about the trans woman wanting to bang Mace's face into the cement until she dies. You can say that's a one-off, but such folks are out there. Also, this recent surge in trans acceptance (if not celebration) has begun to enable a class of sh1tty men who are predators but not trans to get into women's safe spaces. All of this is to say that you cannot look at statistics from the past in this instance. I'll end with a discussion I had with my wife yesterday on this topic. She is a taekwondo black belt so better trained than most to defend herself, but not large, 5' 1". I told her about this thread and she pointed out that women wear some weird stuff in the interest of fashion, and if you have a romper on, you are basically sitting in the stall nekkid. She didn't like the idea of a large man in the room, or the stall next door, while feeling so vulnerable. I like to think of myself as empathetic, but I don't think any guy can truly empathize with women on this topic.
  17. Sorry to distract from your conversation @jerryskids. Here’s some analysis suggesting the “trans isn’t a protected class” stuff may not be as broad as some think: https://www.nysun.com/article/supreme-courts-decision-to-uphold-state-ban-on-medical-gender-transitions-for-minors-is-a-devastating-loss-for-transgender-people-aclu-says?member_gift=CUZ5qwd3crq4pmz-xrd Way too many words in this article but I think these were the most relevant: The court’s decision, however monumental, will not necessarily have sweeping implications for transgender-related litigation more broadly, according to a law professor at Duke University, Doriane Lambelet Coleman, the author of “On Sex And Gender: a Commonsense Approach.” She said that the court has left as an open question whether transgender people should be recognized as a protected class, for whom a higher level of legal scrutiny under the 14th Amendment is warranted. … Addressing the question of Bostock’s application outside of employment contexts, the majority found that the law “does not alter the court’s analysis.” To assess for discrimination barred by the statute, that 2020 decision applied a test in which changing the person’s sex would change the outcome of the dispute. But in the case of the Tennessee ban, the court found that this test did not, in fact, change the outcome; children would still be banned from receiving drugs for the purpose of transitioning their gender if they were the opposite sex. However, the court issued a notably restrained ruling in this context, declining to address whether Bostock’s reasoning “reaches behind the Title VII context.” This should limit the reach of this decision. “Lawyers working to secure trans rights can continue to use Bostock based reasoning where the language of the law allows it,” Ms. Coleman said.

80/20 Issues that are Killing Liberals- Just added- LA Riots

Unfortunately I can’t admit I’m wrong about this issue because I don’t think I am. I believe that trans people should be allowed to live their lives with dignity and respect. I think teenagers should be able to make medical decisions in consultation with their parents and doctors without government interference or restriction, unless public health issues are involved, and in the cases of gender therapy or surgery they are not. I think gender dysphoria is a mental disorder that can lead, if untreated, to suicide; the only treatment to gender dysphoria is therapy and ultimately a sex change operation. I do not believe that a teenager can be talked into gender dysphoria. I do not believe that a straight teenager can be talked into trans or gay. Finally I don’t believe that trans athletes should play in girls sports but it’s a really minor issue to me. These things I believe based on what I read and understand. If public opinion is 80-20 going the other way I can’t help that. It is what it is.
  19. Yes, my comments stayed consistent. I was talking about how I was not a fan of Riley Gaines in part because her schtick is NOT just against men in women’s sports, it is against trans folks in general. Her comment about this supreme court case is yet another example of that. @TBayXXXVII tried saying “Gaines only said that trans don’t belong in women’s sports” (direct quote) which obviously is incorrect. In fact, he, not me was the one that kept changing definitions. For example when I called out Gaines for comparing sexual abuse to competing against a boy in high school softball, he started saying things like “she never said sexual abuse happens on the field of play.”

80/20 Issues that are Killing Liberals- Just added- LA Riots

No to the economy and war but trans issues are massively motivating. Reasonable people can disagree about climate/energy policy or foreign policy issues like Ukraine or such, I could see voting one way or the other on candidates over such things. But trans is a killer issuer with a glaring red line. People who support it are morally bankrupt and I will never vote for a trans-advocate for any position anywhere ever.
  21. The WHO is a political arm of the UN which unapologetically advocates for trans rights. From your link: The effort to depathologize transsexuality is a (powerful) movement, not based on any medical reason. Also: Again, not science. It is justified by greater normalization in society, and because it makes people with the mental illness feel bad. No medical reason. I've got a much larger post to make on this topic, probably its own thread when I get around to it, that shows that the AMA "experts" are anything but. But for now, suffice it to say that the WHO made a political decision, not a scientific one.
  22. serious question..i have only seen that the shooter changed his name from robert to robin, and heard a guy on cnn call the shooter her. is there anything else that points to trans? please share..thank you.
  23. I literally said it would be a good idea for them have therapy initially. But I think there can be a point that they “graduate” from it, even if they don’t stop being trans.
  24. What road? You are the one with the implication that therapy wouldn't help mentally ill people. Saying that there are people with gender dysphoria doesn't mean that they can't benefit from therapy. First, a growing majority of trans, particularly in children, are victims of social contagion, and don't have gender dysphoria. They need therapy to uncover and address the underlying issues which lead to their false belief. Second, those with gender dysphoria very well can have underlying issues driving their false belief as well. Or perhaps not. I'm not a mental health expert enough to prescribe a specific therapy regimen, but it boggles my mind that for every other mental illness, the medical profession works to address it, but for this one, they not only don't, they celebrate and encourage it.
  25. It's not a lot more difficult than XX and XY chromosomes. I know you passed biology at some point and understood basic genetics. If you don't accept that anymore as factual then it's a fruitless conversation. Your analogy to gay marriage is off to me because I don't think the opposition to gay marriage in large came from people believing gay people were mentally ill. There were a vocal minority of that opposition who thought that. But growing up in a conservative town, I knew very few people who thought that. It had more to do with religious views about marriage. I look at the trans issue no differently than the poor soul I saw riding a bicycle in the wrong direction along one of the busiest highways in our state yesterday. He was out there at dusk with people slamming on their brakes to keep from hitting and killing him. The guy was talking to himself as I passed. I didn't hate the man, I felt pity and hope he finds help. I don't hate someone who thinks they are a woman if they are a man, but I do think they need help. I do think it's harmful for us to hide from what has always been basic biology and genetics because an ideology tells you to do so. If you allow someone to keep believing in fantasies and delusions, depression is bound to follow because they aren't living in reality and eventually reality always slaps you in the face.
