It does not surprise me that you would consider my discussion in this thread "transphobic," given my model of you being a 12 year old who gets all of his/her news from TikTok. Also, I know it isn't about trans, because I said so in my OP, which you either didn't read or can't comprehend. Replacement is a different topic, perhaps I'll start a thread on that. Unfortunately, my thoughts on it are nuanced, and you lack nuance, so you will leap to the "yur a raciss!" card regardless of what I say. -

I live in a major northeast liberal city and see someone who is identifiably trans maybe once a month. But at the GC I’ve seen about 347,982 tranny memes. Every one of them is posted by your ilk and they all imply that these people are mentally ill and/or violent pedophiles. Many Republicans obviously hate and are turned on by trannies. -

Thanks. I don't necessarily disagree, as I am fairly libertarian in my thinking. The challenge is, for this model to work, there needs to be an underlying acceptance of what is "harm." And a general selflessness or deference to the needs of others, which I believe we lack in our current hedonistic society (and might be part of a future installment of "cultural existential threats." ) For instance, to me, a biological man competing in women's sports is clearly doing harm to the other women. As is such a person being in a woman's locker room, spa, prison, even bathroom, if one is to err on the side of consideration for others. I've used before the example of my daughter with Type 1 diabetes. She is free to pursue whatever she wants... with restrictions. She can't join the military, for instance. Becoming a pilot or commercial truck driver is extremely difficult. This is how I view trans people. -

I pointed out that in the OP, I specifically said that the problem is not these specific issues but the trend of increased moral relativism. You deflected with some pablum about "data points" (another phrase I didn't use). I tried to steer you back to your inability to read the OP and have an intelligent discussion. You then accused me of deflecting above. It is true, people are reading these exchanges and drawing conclusions. It's not what you think, however. I'm once again amazed by your utter and complete lack of self-awareness. I think you honestly think you are winning something here. I feel sorry for you. -

Ok. I won't put words in your mouth, but will suggest that common sense and cultural norms can be seen in two radically opposed political parties. You expressed opposition for the trans in your wife's locker room, yet you seem to support the political party which encourages the degeneration of moral norms that end up with d*&ks out in the locker room. That, seemingly, is a conflict...or hypocrisy (or, just play acting on the bored so you can f**k with people). Either way, the argument seems to dissipate into which political party best keeps the slope the most dry. -

Good question. I hope I never have to find out the answer. The reality is that if that happened our resident trans would find themselves in a fuckton of trouble. They'd be fired and prosecuted. That's not going to be of much comfort to the victim though. I'll just have to trust that she is no more prone to that sort of display than any other person would be. And I will re-emphasize: locker room integration has not been a problem, nor has this individual's "lifestyle choices." She has been nothing but respectful toward her coworkers, as far as I know. -
