What's sad is that Nazi's are out in public spewing hatred, and the first thought is "What team are they on? I hope they are on the other team so I can get gotcha points for it" These ass holes support hatred of everything that isn't white and heterosexual. I don't really care who they vote for, but I highly doubt the support a suspected pedo who supports trans affirming care and equal rights for everyone, because that is everything they publicly stand against.

This thread seems to be divided between people who want Disney to succeed because they have liberal views about gay and trans, and people who want Disney to fail for the exact same reasons. I think if you’re one of the latter folks you’re in a losing battle.

It’s really a big reason why conservatives are losing everywhere. They hate feminism, hate the Barbie movie, hate a woman’s right to choose, hate the Me Too movement, hate trans and gay people. When you add these to their views on climate change and common sense gun control, you can see that they are the on the wrong side of every issue that anyone under 30 cares about. Their viewpoint is doomed.

The problem with your assertion is that I don’t know who “they” is. There are members of the faculty who admitted that other members behaved badly. It’s in the Wiki article. The article also doesn’t make clear that the school approved what happened; it appears to be individual faculty members. I don’t want to condemn this institution because I have great admiration for it based on its history, including recent history. Just as it did with blacks back in the day, this school accepted both openly gay and openly trans students long before they were comfortable at other colleges. They have been at the forefront of movements like Me Too and Black Lives Matter. So there’s a lot for me to like. The action towards the bakery, and the intolerance described in the OP, do bother me. But at this point not enough to condemn what I think is a very positive institution. -

FTR I do not support trans women competing in girls sports, as they can have an unfair edge. But I do support them using girls bathrooms and in all other cases being treated as girls. -

Let me answer this question so there is no confusion: if a male has gender affirming care in order to become a trans female, she should be able to use girls bathrooms, including in high school. But the transformation needs to be complete (removal of male genitals.) -

Actually I should rephrase my last point. I’ve been saying for quite some time that anyone other than Trump would have a decent shot of beating Biden. After watching that debate the other night I’m not so sure. Maybe Nikki Haley I guess. But the issue of abortion might be a bigger albatross for Republicans than even Trump is. Plus I don’t even know what the Republicans stand for anymore. You guys don’t like trans people, and woke pisses you off. You want to give Russia a win in Ukraine. And you’ve got a lot of white grievance. -
Transgenders aren’t transforming. They are just playing dress up or in some cases, mutilating themselves. A trans “woman” will still have to get prostate exam. Lol.

This. The downtown and mass trans were empty during the height of Covid and the riff raff took over. 2022 and this year have been better. Most of these folks live in the burbs and get most of their news on cities from Twitter.
