Based on tonight's performance, she deserves to go home. However, I don't think she's going anywhere. More likely Elliot or Taylor are tossed.

I only saw her second performance and I thought it was good. I agree with Randy that the ending was a little weak.

 

Taylor makes it on his strength of having a lot of experience on stage. He is a good performer but his voice is average. Elliot can sing better but is kind of a dweeb. Final two: Kat and Chris with Chris the winner.

I don't think there's a whole lot of doubt that Chris is the favorite right now. He has the widest appeal and is the most marketable. He could be a pop/rock star easily. The audience for each of the other contestants skews awfully old.

Whoever you heard from doesn't know much about music.

Kat and Elliot have the best voices musically speaking.

Taylor has the best stage presence and entertainment factor.

Chris has the same old boring 1 or 2 octave range that every rock and roller out there has. He has nothing exciting to offer that hasn't already been done.

 

Katharine has a Broadway voice and should follow the theater route when this contest is done.

 

Elliot maybe should do the same thing, but I'm not quite sure where he should end up. He's got a tremendous voice but is not very exciting to watch.

 

Taylor is the most entertaining to watch. He is actually one of the weaker ones vocally speaking ( range and pitch)

 

Chris is going to end up as a singer in a band who never makes it past the nightclub level. If he does make it past there, it will be a one hit wonder type band.

 

If I was given free tickets to a concert of any of these 4, Chris's concert would be the last I'd want to attend.

Gotta agree. Based on the amount of play the contestants get at the Idol website, Taylor will cruise and Elliot will squeek in. Chris should edge out Kat. Her saving grace is she is the only chick left, so Chris might get the ax.

At the beginning of the show, they pulled up to Graceland in a car. Kats juggs were hanging right out of the car window for a second. That was all I caught since I was busy rebuilding the engine on my 65 Mustang using only the tools I cast myself.

But seriously, every once in a while, it all comes together. The vocals, the lighting, the camera work and the band. That last song he did was unreal. I liked the way the cameras would kick over to the drummer, then the singers, then the violins, then the brass section....every time it hit a musical part.

It depends on who the "average" viewer/voter of idol is. If they like Sinatra, Elton John, and wear Depends, Taylor could win it.

Agreed. I can only guess that the Paris voters went to Kat and others. Chris is a different kinda performer. I'm sure we'll here from him again. His performances were the only reason I cared, other than Kat's boobs.

Elliot is from right here in Richmond, VA. The whole area is going nuts over this. There are posters all over the city reminding people to vote. The top radio station in town devotes its entire Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday shows to Idol talk. At my wife's office they email to remind each other to vote. Kind of pathetic, but whatever...

 

My opinion on Elliot? Meh. He's a decent singer, but I don't see a huge future for him. His album sales won't be much, whether he wins or not. Katharine is in the same boat, along with Taylor. Chris may or may not sound like your stereotypical rocker, but he has excellent stage presence and a marketable look. I like his singing and would consider buying an album of his, or at least downloading a song or two. I'm not sure how he got tossed out, but it seems to happen every season -- someone gets the boot for no apparent reason.

 

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a couple of Swedish supermodels to fock.
