football_scooter 0 Posted November 21, 2006 I think the Pats are going to own the Bears. The game's in NE The Pats make their bread & butter out of harassing opposing QBs Grossman's shown that when you smack him in the mouth a few times, his game goes to hell. Brady's WAY overdue for a big game. I don't think the Bears have anyone they can match up against Watson, and I think he has a 6 reception, 110 yd., 1 TD game I think the Pats force 4 turnovers and win the game 30 - 16 No offense to the Bears - I just don't see them going into NE in November and getting a win. I'll be the 1st to tip my cap to them if they do. note to DrGhay & Sho Muff: how's that for being specific, you d0uchebags?

It is certainly the toughest game on the schedule this year. 3rd straight road game and against another playoff / Sb potential team. many matchups are huge in this game - Brady vs Bears D, trenches on both sides, Grossman vs a weak secondary, which team can run the ball ... a real test for both sides. that's the best you have? really? could that have been any more predictable? do I make a thread every week saying the Patriots will win 34 to 3 no matter who they play? Go to the check down or take the sack, hopefully he'll learn and stop killing them with picks. But Brady's WAY overdue for a big game? That 4 TD game against the Packers wasn't one? Your NFL knowledge is as bad as your FF knowledge, scooter. Take a year off bro....the WCOFF debacle is hurting you big time 1. No, I think every QB can throw 4 TDs against the Packers. It's the worst secondary I've seen. 2. No, I don't think Urlacher can match up against Watson. Watson has too much speed for Urlacher. I love Urlacher and think he's the best defensive player in the NFL, but Watson will win that battle, IMO. Just because you disagree with me doesn't mean I lack NFL knowledge - it means one of us is wrong and time will tell. If Watson has a big day, you can add yourself to the list of FFT-ers who can lick my yambag.

The Packer's secondary was much worse when Ahmad Carroll was on the field. 2 - What better way to get into the Holiday spirit. The traditional yambag licking for Thanksgiving. DBZFan2K 0 Posted November 21, 2006 I should be confident in the Patriots this Sunday, but I mean, come on. This has been a Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde season for them. Go on the road, and they're gangbusters. Go play at home, and they're mediocre. Maybe it was the godawful turf sandbox-for-a-field they had before. But right now, they're 3 losses this season have all come at home against teams with winning records. Rex Grossman doesn't scare me. But then again, Jake Plummer didn't scare me either. The Bears have the type of defense that could rattle Tom Brady and get him away from his rhythm on offense. Of course, this is probably the best defense Grossman will face all year, so if he focks up then this is New England's game.

TD Ryan2 316 Posted November 21, 2006 Pats win. Mangina runs the same defense as NE, only with less experience and lesser personnel. Grossman could only put 10 points on the board vs. Mangina's Jets. not only do the Pats win, the only way CHI even scores is on a D/ST play.

Briggs will also be locking up on Watson! Most important I think the BEARS are ranked #1 against TE fantasy points scored against. All those things look bad for Watson. Sweetness_34 0 Posted November 21, 2006 Last time I checked Urlacher was one of the fastest LB in the NFL! Briggs will also be locking up on Watson! Most important I think the BEARS are ranked #1 against TE fantasy points scored against. All those things look bad for Watson. All valid points. No TE has done well against the Bears....none. And Urlacher + Briggs are very good and fast. Now I understand that they have not played against Winslow, Gates, Gonzo, LJ Smith, Heap etc so I guess the jury is out right now since they have not played against the top TEs but they can only play who is on their schedule. Ben Watson's performance will be a good data point to support or at least open some doubt on that theory that the Bears can shut TEs down. Let's see what happens this weekend But to suggest that the Bears have no one to stop Ben Watson is a joke. 2 of the best LBs in the league (both probowlers) I guess do not count.....looks like scooter thinks everyone plays defense like the niners do

TCBear34 0 Posted November 26, 2006 No way , the Bears would need to have a real QB not a on - off guy in order to beat the Pats 34 - 3. You've been reading too much of the media (who, if they couldn't find something to rag on with a Bears QB, would throw themselves off the nearest 10 story building) and not watching very many Bears games. He's been off for 2 games. Out of 10. He 13-4 as a starter I believe. In the Jets game, he wasn't off, he made some real nice throws that were caught, dropped, or called back. But the passes, when the coaches called for them, were there.... or were thrown away. What they weren't, was thrown for interceptions. I'll take that. If the Bears do lose tomorrow, mostly it will be because that 1) they're playing their third road trip in a row, and 2) they just don't need it as much as the patriots do. But when they win, what other excuses are you going to find to call them 'overrated'? Bears 24 Pats

IGotWorms 4,058 Posted November 26, 2006 No way. The Patriots are going to own the Bears. Rex Grossman can't play against a decent defense and the Pats are one of the best, even with all the injuries in the secondary. There is no way Thomas Jones' sorry ass will be able to run against that D. And the Patriots will spread out the Bears on offense and let Brady pick them apart. The only possibility for a Bears win is if the Patriots turn it over a lot. I'd say the Bears will need to get at least 3 TOs and a defensive/special teams TD to win this game. Patriots 24, Bears

I'm not gauranteeing a Bears win or anything, but really, if anything, this game is a push or the Bears should win. The Bears have shown alot more this year than NE and its not 2004 anymore. Just curious what have the Bears shown? Wins versus a crappy NFC Central? Almost losing to Arizona? Grossman crapping on himself at home versus the Dolphins? Wins against two crappy New York QBs? The Bears are at best the fifth best team in the NFL after Indy, San Diego, New England, and Baltimore. I would even take Dallas and KC over them at this point. In case Bears fans have not yet figured this out. The NFL is a Quarterback league. If your Quarterback in named Grossman, (or Plummer) you suck. Go talk your smack to a team that has not won three of the last five superbowls.

If the bears loose it' because of a road trip, they don't need it etc........overrated Here is a clue: If the Bears loose it's because they got out played by the most constantly "UNDERRATED" team in the NFL. The Same team that went to 3 super-bowls but never won......you see.....the other team simply lost If you loose, you loose so just say it......don't make excuses that replace the obvious reason for the loss.....like maybe they played a better team.
