yojimbo81 0 Posted November 28, 2006 Michael Richards felt the need to visit Jesse Jackson on his radio program to apologize for his racist remarks. I find this interesting for a few reasons. On one hand while I will agree that Kramer's remarks were in very bad taste I don't think he should apologize to anyone other than to himself and the people in the audience who were offended by his comments. The man does not need to apologize to the country or two Jesse Jackson. This is one of those events where the p.c. police come out of the woodwork. Everyone puts on this act as if they've never said anything racially offensive before. Still Kramer was a man and apologized and did so more than I feel he should have. What can one do after an apology. Another interesting thing is that he chose to apologize on Jesse Jackson's show. Jackson pressed the issue saying he nust have pent up racist feelings. How ironic is it that a man who called NYC "Hymietown" and spit in a white man's food thinks he can question another about his feelings? Jackson then called for a boycott of Seinfeld Season 7. I suppose this is because there were very few blacks on the show. That has come up a lot recently. In fact just last night on one of the talking heads programs a black guest said he would never buy Seinfeld anyway because there were "no brothers and sistas on the show". Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David must have forgot that every show needs a black character for the sake of having one to keep Jessie Jackson and the like happy. Anyway...is a boycott of Seinfeld neccessary? I don't buy them anyway because tv shows are too expensive and if I was going to buy any show it would be Freaks and Geeks. Perhaps Jesse Jackson should also donate money for every anti-semetic remark he has made during his career as a "civil rights activist". That said, Jesse Jackson is a moron, and I didn't even know he had a show. The fact that he called for a boycott of seoson 7 is almost enough to make me buy it.
