TNG...I have a tattoo of my sons name. You can read it both left to right and right to left. Its wraped in a design so it doesnt look lke a tacky name tat. I forget what its called, but the tat artist will know.

I am so behind the times - I was playing poker back when people shook thier heads and suggested GAMBANON to me for even mentioning it. Now with the WSOP and all the popularity of Hold 'Em it's perfectly acceptable.

 

Likewise of back when I got my tats. In the 14 years since it went through an "in" phase and seems to have come full circle to being not cool anymore because so many people got them. so lame - get what you get because you like it, not because you give a fock what anyone else thinks of it.

2- December 20, 1990. I used to make fun of those guys who got a girl's name tattooed. They would have to mark it out when they broke up. Well, I got my future wife's name tattooed underneath the original. She loved it.

It actually is a pretty nice one. Really colorful Lotus flower in the middle, with sort of a tribal like design going out to each side, then off to one of the sides of the flower is an om sign...has meaning for her as the lotus flower and om sign both relate to her yoga practice.

I will admit that mine was trendy when I got it, but that's not why I got it. I thought it was pretty sexy when chicks have tatt's on their lower backs. It was pretty trendy when I did it almost 10 years ago. But that's fine. I still like it.

Didn't read this thread but FWIW dept. I don't like tat's on anyone. Or, body piercings. Particularly womenz. Think they look thugish, ghey and hor-ish. Every time I see a womenz with one (or more) I immediately think Trailer Park Trash and STD. But, that's JMHO.

No tats here. Several years ago my (now ex) husband and I talked about getting matching tats - something symbolic between us and small enough that it could be placed in a somewhat hidden spot. (I was thinking lower abs, but still high enough that it could be seen just at the top part of bikini bottoms. Maybe a little heart or something.

 

I've lost my desire to have one now though... no longer interested and glad I never went through with it.

 

Also Saw, I've done the same thing with the tanning stickers... lower ab area peeking out just from the top of bikni bottoms... but I've always used a heart sticker. Kinda cute. This would be the closest I'd get now to ever having a tattoo.

 

Some girls can pull it off okay and look really good with them, others just look trampy. Depends on the girl.
