Murder Rate - Ranked by City [Go Compton, CA!]

Recommended Posts

No, not Orange County. I live in the South Bay area of SoCal. You're near here too, right? I definitely do not live in Compton, but as you are probably aware, Compton is only about 10 miles or so away from the Beach Cities.

It's closer to where I work than where I live.

6 miles from work

15 miles from home

congrats on living close to a bigger craphole than me.

-also- 40 whiteys from the burbs glad they arent in the ghetto

Anybody else surprised Houston didn't make the list. I thought they had incorporated the worst of NO's thug population. C'mon, guys, pick it up.

Lazy bastages.

It's not murder if they can't find the bodies. :ninja:

I bet that this list closely resembles their per capita representation in the NBA and NFL as well.

We've done this one. DO X-ref that against lowest per capita incomes and get back to us.

You'll find destitute places like West Virginia mountain country are hopelessly poor - without the violent crime rate.

The Sceintific Method:

1) Weed out the variables.

2) Identify the overarching common factor.

Let's take a look at the poverty levels of the top 10 cities, and the bottom 10 cities on this list:

Top 10:

Compton - 28% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compton,_California

Gary - 25.8% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary,_Indiana

Birmingham - 24.7% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham,_Alabama

Youngstown - 25% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youngstown,_Ohio

Richmond - 21.4% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richmond,_Virginia

Baltimore - 22.9% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore,_Maryland

Camden - 32.8% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camden,_New_Jersey

Flint - 26.4% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flint,_Michigan

Detroit - 26.1% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit,_Michigan

Richmond - 16.2% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richmond,_California

Average: 24.93%

Bottom 10:

Westland - 6.8% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westland,_Michigan

Tracy - 7.0% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracy,_California

Sterling Heights - 5.2% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sterling_Heights,_Michigan

Simi Valley - 3.9% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simi_Valley,_California

Santa Barbara - 13.4% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Barbara,_California

Round Rock - 4.0% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_Rock,_Texas

Roswell - 5.0% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roswell,_Georgia

Roseville - 4.9% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roseville,_California

Rochester - 7.8% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochester,_Minnesota

Parma - 4.9% http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parma,_Ohio

Average: 6.29%

Happen to have the poverty levels and per capita murder rates of the "West Virginia Mountainous Regions" for comparison? Perhaps some other examples that might correlate better to a study of cities than some rural mountainous region - like a city (or two) that is poor, white, and peaceful? It doesn't get much whiter than Racine, WI and their 70% white population. But 14% of their city is under the poverty line and they are #37. Kansas City, KS is like 55% white, but have 17% under the poverty line and they are #16.

You could possibly be a racist...

You're an idiot. Your top ten list proves the point. Bring up the blackrifican population density for any of those top ten cities. We're talking the top crime rates. Bringing up #37 is worthless. And East KC MO is darker than Africa.

You could possibly be a moron. ;)

ABSOLUTELY!

Black people are the only people on the planet that justify killing people because they looked at them the wrong way.

Judge: Tyrone, can you please exjplain to the jury why you killed those people.

Tryone: I done killed dem peoples cuz they done disrepected me wit dat look.

#37, with a 19.9 rate is "worthless", that's laughable. That's more than the 50 cities at the bottom combined. And it's as white as white can be. It's more than Chicago, where blacks outnumber whites!

But hey, it's good that you can cherry pick statistics to make you feel good about being a bigot.

I'm going to disagree with you based on the numbers.

Top 10 Cities on Murder list 58.83% black

Bottom 10 Cities on Murder list 4.58% black

The difference in the poverty levels of the 2 groups is about 19% but the difference in % of black population is about 54%. It is clear in analyzing what makes these groups of cities different the % of black population makes them more different than the poverty level.

Put simply the top 10 have 4 times the % of people at the poverty level but 12.8 times the % of blacks than the bottom 10.

The numbers are what the numbers are you spin them any way you want DrJ.

What's the body count in Ballmurr this year? Also are there any lists for this year?

For the nigapologist........often most of the safest places away from crime have been listed as Johnstown, PA, Huntington, Wva and communities in that range (area). Most would be referred to as derelict and poor white communities.

Our newspaper headlines this morning touted that East St. Louis had 14 murders in the first 5 months of 2007. This extrapolates to say about 33 murders for the entire year. The population is about 32,000. This figures to be 103 murders per 100,000 population, far exceeding anything on that list provided.

The Cdub scientific method :

1) Kill all the brothas

I don't want to kill all the brotha's. I think they are superior athletes and great entertainers. I just think their society would be happier some place else. It's obvious Americas values and morals don't match up with the black community at all. I forget what the statistic is but it's something like 2/3's of all black males are in some area of the correctional system.

I have a four point plan to help both races.

It doesn't get much whiter than Racine, WI and their 70% white population.

Have you ever been to Racine? I have and they have a thriving Ghetto. Also it easily gets whiter, my city is at 94% white :shocking:

Philadelphia has been getting over 400 murders a year lately, but this year we are looking at possibly topping 500, and we are certainly way ahead of last years pace.

At least we have goals, which is nice.

Interesting - they're 12x more black and only 4x more poor. So I guess that means violence follows the blacks, whereas poverty and welfare follows the whites.

Based on the numbers this part of your statement is correct

whereas poverty and welfare follows the whites

as for this statement   The numbers show the exact opposite.

58.83% black = povety level 25%

4.58% black = poverty level 6%

Keep spinning.

You're just being dishonest here, Dr. J.

It gets quite a bit whiter than Racine, a city that is situated in between and gets the worst of those two crime-ridden crapholes we like to call Milwaukee and Chicago.

Perhaps you were confusing Racine with Shaumberg, Ill.??

The only thing that is relevant to this thread is the fact that East St Louie is 99.99 percent black.

that's where Chevy Chase got his hubcaps stolen during the movie Vacation.
