Mark Eaton Hornacek over Jerry West? You gotta read up on NBA history. west was one of the greatest players of all time. Starting five: PG-Stockton SG-West PF-McHale SF-Bird C-Walton Walton when healthy was one of greatest centers in history. George Mikan was supposively a great center as well but he was in the early early years of the NBA and its tough to compare him to todays players. Bob Cousy was also a great point guard worth mentioning.

Dominate player and top 50 all-time SF. Larry Bird - Nothing needs to be said about Bird SG. Jerry Sloan - One of the best defenders to play the Guard position PG. Jerry West - Great All-Around Player Bench: C. George Mikan - First dominant big-man at 6-10. P.F. Kevin McHale - His shot was as unstoppable as Kareem's sky hook SF. Bill Bradley - Great Player inside and out SG. Chris Mullin - Sweet shooting lefty that could play the 2 or 3 PG. John Stockton - Tough on Defense, great assist guy, and could score when needed. jerryskids 6,564 Posted May 1, 2008 Wow, Just Wow. Brad Lohus? COME ON PEOPLE!!! I was on a plane in 1989 flying to or from Detroit/Boston, don't remember which direction. Anyway, I sat next to a hottie, and as a young stud I was figuring out how to work some magic. Then she opened the sports page; I dern near creamed my pants, hot and a sports fan?! Anyway, I talked to her and she was Brad Lohaus's wife.

cbfalcon 825 Posted May 1, 2008 West was a shooting guard. ESPN ranked him number 3 greatest shooting guard behind MJ and Kobe. My bad. Then he is the obvious 2 guard. 1. Stockton (or Nash maybe) 2. West 3. Bird 4. Dirk (I like him over McHale) 5. Walton

Walton Mchale was a monster in the low post and was clutch in playoffs. He was also a top defensive player and was on numerous all defensive teams. Dirk plays more like a small forward if you ask me and would not be as good complement to Bird.
