GettnHuge 2 Posted July 8, 2008 I gotta disagree. 20yrs ago when they made the Batman movies they started off cool but then quickly deteriorated into movies with ridiculous cars, gadgets and such which looked more like a bad toy commercial towards kids. Now everyone raved about the last movie being darker, awesome, how it should be etc. But now I see all these ads for the 2nd one and it seems all they show are his car, this ridiculous motorcycle, crazy new outfits etc. Smells a lot like what happened to the first time around. Maybe the gay cowboy deserves an award but I think it is kinda hokey that some are already calling for it. Let his acting speak for itself. Trying to create sympathy buzz is kind of wack. On a side note supposedly Jack Nicholson talked to Ledger when he got the role. Said something to the effect of it will really screw with you're head if you let it. CantTouchThis 23 Posted July 10, 2008 I have only seen The Departed...and i thought that was one of the most overrated movies of all time, i actually thought it was just an average at best movie. Dark Night is getting probably the best reviews i have ever seen, every early review i have seen has been basically it's amazing. I think there is a small chance it could disappoint just because it is being so hyped. However, i think it will end up living up to the hype, will see it next weekend for sure. I think Titanic's record sales could be in jeopardy, i would love to see a movie overtake that piece of trash movie, 600 million dollars...i still can't believe that, nearly 200 million more than the original Star Wars. I don't know, i just thought the plot and storyline was stupid, it was boring then all of a sudden everyone shot everyone, i was like "WTF is going on?". Honestly, i don't think i have ever been more disappointed in a movie. If you know my movie tastes, you know i like 85% of the movies i watch at least, i watch movies purely for entertainment, if it entertains me, then i like it. Jack Nicholson sucked @ss in that film (there, I said it), and I thought it was really stupid how they had to advance the plot line by using text messaging between the characters.
