Drizzay 760 Posted July 17, 2008 You would have to assume that Whitney would be there with that song. If I remember correctly, that was the first huge MEGA hit that came from a soundtrack since Stayin' Alive and Purple Rain. That thing was number one for months on end. As for the Backdoor Boys, I couldn't agree with you more. As far as I'm concerned, that whole genre/period in music NEVER happened.

NewbieJr 541 Posted July 18, 2008 Lump INSYNC into the group and youve got a winning parlay Let's not forget that N*SYNC brought us Justin Timberlake, who, along with John Mayer, may be the most talented musical artist of his generation.
redtodd 7 Posted July 18, 2008 100 Greatest Songs Of The '90s Full ListUhh, are you shittin me??? 02. U2 "One" 03. Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way" 04. Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You" One is a great song. It should be up there. Whitney's is probably up there because it was HUGE and every girl adored it. No clue why the Backdoor Boys are up there.
phillybear 366 Posted July 18, 2008 Let's not forget that N*SYNC brought us Justin Timberlake, who, along with John Mayer, may be the most talented musical artist of his generation. If you would substitute "I am NewbieJr and I enjoy sucking c0ck" instead of what you typed above, you would come off as a little bit less gay.
RLLD 4,283 Posted July 18, 2008 No NIN, Marilyn Manson, White Zombie..... This list must actually be delineated to "poP and "hip hop" only.....there was some great jazz being put out as well...

NewbieJr 541 Posted July 18, 2008 Anyone who is so 'manly' that they can't admit that Timberlake is talented is going through an extreme case of try to mask their homosexual tendencies. Grow a pair, girlie-men.

RLLD 4,283 Posted July 18, 2008 I've always thought that that entire decade sucked for music. Now I have proof. Tough call....every decade will have the "popular" stuff which is just fluffed candy.....and they will get all the sales #'s....but still, each decade has produces some timeless and tangible stuff as well.... Albums such as the Pixies Trompe Le Monde, Concrete Blonde's Bloodletting and even Echo and the Bunnymen with Evergreen represent pretty good stuff from the 90's.....JMHO
SUXBNME 1,629 Posted July 18, 2008 I watched the whole thing on VH1 yesterday...Then watched the whole 80's best after it. Not a very productive day for me

Big Blue 06 196 Posted July 18, 2008 I watched the whole thing on VH1 yesterday...Then watched the whole 80's best after it. Not a very productive day for me Well I spent an hour watching the top 20 from the 80s, then another 2 hours watching VH1 Rock Honors: The Who. I wasn't exactly setting the world on fire either. dain11279 985 Posted July 18, 2008 "One" was the best song of the 90's? Could U2 be more overrated. I would much rather listen to Metallica's "One".
wiffleball 4,797 Posted July 18, 2008 01. Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit" I think Nerdana is a lot like Macy Gray. They both horribly suck, but every once in a while "they" try to get everybody else to like stuff that sucks just to prove that "they" are so cool they can make uncool people claim to like totally sucky things just to look cool. Yer mom 2 Posted July 18, 2008 Let's not forget that N*SYNC brought us Justin Timberlake, who, along with John Mayer, may be the most talented musical artist of his generation. Timberlake is versatile and talented, ill give you that but not good enough to boost the rest of his little pillowbiting cronies into a worthy position. John Mayer is absolute dogshiit The only thing that Timberlake should be credited for is him banging Britney Spears before she became a slutty, suicidal nutjob. Score 1 Boyz II Men's "Motown Philly" was pretty huge in it's day, you'd think it would be on the top 100. Score 1 You're right - "One" should be #1. Nah, just because the message is powerful doesnt mean its a good song. Bonor whined his way through a 3+ minute song for chrissakes. You know a song isnt very good when it comes on the radio in your car and its still going to be the last option of 6 preset stations
Thornton Melon 653 Posted July 18, 2008 "One" was the best song of the 90's? Could U2 be more overrated. "One" is the best song evah

phillybear 366 Posted July 18, 2008 Yes, because they both suck. Nirvana=Macy Gray=Brussels Sprouts. Nirvana does not suck, you tone deaf nitwit. And try to ingest some green stuff, other than Mountain Dew.
redtodd 7 Posted July 18, 2008 "One" was the best song of the 90's? Could U2 be more overrated. Yes, One is easily one of the best of the 90's. U2 after Actung Baby is over-rated. But Actung Baby and before is outstanding.
SUXBNME 1,629 Posted July 18, 2008 Nirvana does not suck, you tone deaf nitwit. And try to ingest some green stuff, other than Mountain Dew. No, they do not suck at all. I can't stand Cobain, and I think that he is one of the most over rated fockbags evah, but they did not suck.
wiffleball 4,797 Posted July 18, 2008 Nirvana does not suck, you tone deaf nitwit. And I get plenty of green from your Mother's fetid festering womb, thank you very much.
