Belushi 9 Posted October 7, 2008 I think you missed Burress. People have forgotten about him because of his 2 weeks off, but he was playing very well before the bye, and the Giants offence looks pretty dominant right now. I'd put him at 6 above the rest of those guys. And I'd probably put Colston on there too, assuming he's back by week 8.
CedarGrovePack 2 Posted October 7, 2008 Plax for sure, Colston maybe. I think A. Johnson may have a better season than R. Moss the more I think about it.

There may be a case of "shell shock" - but from everything he has said sounds like he is gonna go out there and get over it quickly. I'd think he deserves a spot on this list. cyeaser 3 Posted October 7, 2008 i dont think he will end up this high, but with a rookie qb that looks at him 10-15 times a game roddy white has to be considered. oh and reggie bush i dont care if hes a rb, he catches the ball....
Darko M 0 Posted October 7, 2008 No Steve Smith in any of these top 10s? Marshall's numbers have gone down every week since his week 2 game: 40 - 27 - 16 - 5. Notice a trend there? He's good but it's tough to put him in the top 3 with declines like that. Santana Moss' best games are behind him.

surferskin 30 Posted October 7, 2008 Santana Moss' best games are behind him. Based on one bad game? Do you watch football? NEWS FLASH: The Redskins have a good offense that's only going to get better and Santana is the #1 WR on that team. The Eagles game plan was to take away the deep ball, which they did but they also gave up 200 yards rushing, which most teams will not be willing to do. cubbie5150 0 Posted October 7, 2008 Just wanna play too, my top WRs for the rest of the way (NOT season-to-date): 1. Wayne 2. Fitz 3. TO 4. Marshall 5. S Smith 6. Plax 7. AJ 8. Jennings 9. R Moss 10. S Moss ---------- Honorable mention: Boldin (would've easily been top 10, just have no idea how he bounces back from injury); Colston (just don't know when he'll be back for sure; likely a top 10 going forward guy in a couple more weeks); Roddy White (face it, the guy is a stud, and the obvious #1 target); NYJ WRs (Coles/Cotch; just don't knwo yet whether one will emerge as the clear cut #1; given Favre's history, both will remain lower end #1's/top end #2's given Favre's penchant for spreading the ball around); Bowe (b/c he'll get the targets; hard to believe it, but he'll be even better once Croyle comes back b/c he locks onto Bowe so much)
9-Route 0 Posted October 7, 2008 one thing to consider are talented teams with "off records" who will need to juice it to right the ship and make their accustomed playoff appearances. indy, san diego, new orleans, and philly come to mind. also consider teams with offensive firepower and poor records who will play all out to salvage something for season, or ensure job security. teams like cincy, detroit, and houston come to mind. burress: will want to make up for issues wayne: they gotta get hot, score, and win colston: brees averaging 2million yds a game chambers: see wayne fraction jackson: philly faces 2-4 this week; westbrook banged up calvin johnson: changes in mgmt and team makeup looming; will want to ensure he is a cornerstone and garner style points roy williams: needs to produce for offseason value tjhoushmandzadeh: continues to be the real wr1 with palmer; will continue to show they are capable despite poor 0-5 record andre johnson: home stand improving targets and rhythm; both qbs need to produce to stay in longterm plans kevin walter: AJ doubled=gravy denver wrs: they have ZERO defense ariz wrs: warner's last hurrah

GEUH 2 Posted October 8, 2008 I have seen enough. I dumped him this morning on the WW for a bye week defence. you dumped torry holt, perrenial 90 catch 1200 yard pro bowler, after 5 weeks, for WW trash? You, my friend (props to mccain!) will regret that move, book it.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 8, 2008 actually, do you watch football? year after year santana has had 1 or 2 explosive games and the rest of the year is he absolutely does not belong on that list. I just sold high on Moss, but I think you're wrong about Moss this year. I fully expect him to remain in the top 15, maybe even top 10, the entire year. That offense is very balanced and they're using his skill set very well. I think Santana is the real deal this year.

ChazzyCelotts 1 Posted October 8, 2008 False, fitz was never better, and never will be better. fitz cant be doubled the entire game every game because of that guy named BOLDIN. Boldin is better around the goal line and will score more tds. No he may not have as many catches, but he will be damn close in yards, and SURELY have more tds

If you are right, I'll promise to own it. I don't think Holt lost a step, I just think the O-line can't protect the QB (which ever) long enough to make Holt worth a spot on a 14 man roster. I have Fitz and Cotchery, not to mention Chambers if he is not too dinged up. If Holt were on any number of teams; Jets, Cowboys, Giants, Chargers, etc., he would be money. Fitz draws both the best cover corner consistently, he also pulls double teams much more often. He's not only bigger WR (Fitz 6'3"-220, Boldin 6'1"-217) he's also the faster WR and better leaper. He is a superior athlete in just about every aspect EXCEPT yards after contact, where Boldin is much better. Don't get me wrong, Boldin is great...but Fitz is better. Boldin has the opportunity to look superior because Fitz draw more attention.

Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted October 9, 2008 Boldin is #3 WR despite having missed a game. He will be in top 10 and possibly top 5 at the end of the year if he only misses one more game. Neither Moss has a spot on that list IMO. R. Moss because Brady is out and S. Moss because Skins have Portis and several easier games ahead. Wayne and Housh will not be in top 3 at the end of the year due to QB issues. The Colts just aren't the same for some reason. Houston had their foot on the Colts throat but Sage bailed them out.
