Some passengers in Hudson River landing say Airline's $5000 offer not enough...

Blasphemy!!!

Someone must give me a million dollars every time something bad happens to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Does that include when FOX broadcasts a Detroit Lions game and it's the only football game I can watch??? Cause I think I'm owed a lot for that.

the horror....the horror. :o

If that guy sues for "mental anguish" he deserves to be prison raped with a garden weasel.

What a crybaby ######. Focker has flown six times since then, and it "keeps getting more difficult."

I'm a lawyer, and if that guy came into my office, I would call him a low rent POS, and tell him to get the hell out of my office.

If I was on the plane I'd probably look into suing them with a lawyer. I would not make any statements about it to the press though. I would let the lawyers handle it.

If I were Joe Hart, I'd have poured myself a few drinks, grew a beard, and taken a 4 month vacation without telling my employer if I was going to feign PTSD. But his sweat filled tension just doesn't cut it. Christ, I'm scared sh!tless when I fly and have had a few full blown panic attacks. It sucks, but I get through it. I certainly don't expect any special treatment, nor would I expect several tens of thousands of dollars (at least).

In short Joe 'Greedy Focker' Hart, welcome to my world.

This mentality is disgusting and one of the reasons people cannot afford health insurance. itsatip that you are supposed to take the Hippocratic Oath, not the Hyprocrite Oath.

that whoore works for nascar? shes lookign for money because she knows shes about to be laid off :bench:

i hope they include this part in the made for tv movie...you know...when the credits are ready to roll and they update how everyones doing....

joanne...decided to sue

rick...quit his job and decided to sue....

beth...brags about the excitement of nascar..going 200 mph in a car but wets self when a plane dare bounces

tim..pisses self when his waterbed moves unexpectedly....

maybe they can sue the yankees for mental anguish?....wheres the anguish here?..the guy SAVED your life..unless they know their life sucks and they are bummed that its still going on?

id take them to a chilrens hospital in nyc...kids who will never see the outside world as a normal person..yet they cant stop smiling...id say hey...YOU really want to sue for mental anguish? do you?...you wouldnt wish what these kids have on anyone and they just press on....

dont get me wrong..it wouldve FREAKED me out...but would i be scared to fly? no...id be more assured about safe it is...this was a fluke thing and they STILL ended up safe...but imno huge fan of flying..i guess this would give me a reason to say im bothered to fly...

id have definitely tried to give interviews the minute the plane landed...get my 5 minutes...talkabout what a hero the pilots and giant fan were...but thats it...its a life saving moment..not a chance to make money :nono:

(ive seen some of these folks on tv..no way they had that much value in those suitcases)...they were going to the carolinas..not a focking antique show..

either way....when u are first taking off..i would think its impossible to avoid birds...its not as if they were crusing..

Assuming that the birds are not flying faster than the plane, then they could not come from behind. That means they were probably on an intersecting course with the plane. The whole point I am struggling with is why the pilot/co-pilot did not see them. A flock of birds big enough to wipe out BOTH engines is about the size of a 737. IMO the only way you don't see them until they strike the plane is when BOTH pilots are flying without looking out the window. On a clear day, I think that fact will prove that the pilots/airline are responsible for a majority of the blame.

You have to be fishing here...you cannot be serious with this avoid the birds crap.

http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/200...ver-crash_N.htm

Many US Airways (LCC) passengers who endured a crash landing in the Hudson River 12 days ago say they appreciate the $5,000 that the airline has offered — but some say it's not enough.

Joe Hart, a salesman from Charlotte who suffered a bloody nose and bruises, says he "would like to be made whole for the incident."

good idea...go jump in the Hudson and drown...then you will be made whole...it's what SHOULD have happened...but you lucked out on a veteran pilot.

Words can't explain how much these fuckers need to die.

I knew this was coming.

Isn't it funny how people go from "Oh my God. I'm just happy I'm alive. The pilot is a genuine hero" to "Hmmmm. How can I make a buck off of this?".

I hope any passenger that sues the airline for what was essentially cold, wet feet, has a massive stroke the day after the case is settled and spends the rest of their life in a wheelchair with a runny eye, and has to be spoon fed and have their ass wiped.

.....and is molested daily by a 450 lb. smelly blob of humanity.

Yeah, somebody beside you has to pay for med school!

There is a cap on how much one can sue the airline. Even if you die in a plane crash, there is a set amount that is awarded. This was done by Congress to protect the airline industry from lawyers. The same goes for injury while on board, whether the plane crashes or not. It's capped out, and these passengers wanting to sue and capitilize on this incident know it. They and their attorneys are trying to play this out in public. If the airline is not at fault, which it doesn't appear that it is, they will get the minimum set cap for whatever injuries, property lossed, and lost wages for this incident. They aren't hitting the jackpot like I know some of them belived while being ferried back to land. And that makes me smile. Be happy you get to kiss your kids again, and worry about how you pay for their med school later.

Is it too late to throw the greedy survivors back in the Hudson River and say that it was an accident?

And that is why I don't hang a shingle. I have a very low tolerance for being a tool that scumbags use to complete their scumbaggery.

I have a buddy that does criminal defense. He loves it when its just drug cases and stuff. But then the guy charged with child rape comes in, and he has to represent that guy. I wouldn't do it. Fock you. Yes, everyone deserves a lawyer, and I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding one without scruples, but being able to look myself in the mirror is more important to me than a fat legal fee.

Easy. they are waiting to see if the official investigation places any blame on the pilot. Such as how can a pilot run into a flock of birds the size of a 737, and say something like 'when I looked up I jumped'. Why was he not looking out the window in the first place?

So birds can't come out of nowhere into sight in a split second? If he was looking out the window, how does one maneuver a 737 like Maverick in Top Gun without possibly stalling the aircraft or worse?
