FlaHawker 24 Posted May 22, 2010 Hey FlaHawker and WhiteWonder- Would you mind starting a new thread to continue your petty squabble? I would be greatly relieved if I didn't have to sort through your quibbling to read a discussion about the Seahawks. 2 posts? Really? Man this screams alias. jgcrawfish 232 Posted May 22, 2010 so, you really have nothing here but sour grapes because I questioned some Seahawk moves. Sorry, Nancy. I didn't realize you were so sensative. But by all means, continue being a bitch negative opinion = insulting? I guess we live in a world where anything short of an agreement on a topic is considered an insult? thats news to me. WW, I know you've been here for a while, and as such you should be well aware of the Flahooker MO. Yes, if you look into the madness behind the dull and obscure posts of the Hawker you will discover that he does this not only to people who aren't fans of the Hawks, he does it to everybody. One is simply not allowed to disagree with Flahawker because that constitutes the actions of the enemy. A negative opinion, hell, even a differing opinion is not only an uninformed one, but yes, it's an insult as well. My advice, don't bother. Probably 90% of the posters on here know he's a d-bag of the colossal order...the rest are his aliases.
Corporal Punishment 0 Posted May 22, 2010 2 posts? Really? Man this screams alias. Yes, Corporal Punishment is an alias, as in that is not my real name. Now I have three posts. I do not have another sign-in name if that is what you are implying. I just started coming to this site. Is that a problem? In any event: I've decided that the Seahawks are going with Hasselbeck, Whitehurst, Losman because they are targeting Jake Locker for next year. He has the potential to become a franchise QB and is a hometown hero as well. I think it would be worthwhile to give up a few picks to trade up for him. In the meantime, this year could be very difficult as I doubt Hasselbeck's back is going to make it through a whole season. The O-line is better, but still will be a little porous. Will Whitehurst be a sufficient backup? Maybe, but I'm doubtful again.

I dont think his back is the issue. What has me worried is his arm (or shoulder or elbow). The guy was noodle-arming it like Steve Walsh and flat-out would not take a shot downfield. If his arm looks like that in 2010 I pray that Whitehurst is ready.

There is NO WAY a team can target a player this far out. It would foolish to do so. That would mean they are making moves now to prepare for next year. What happens if Locker suffers a career ending injury? What happens if Hass gets hurt and CW leads the team to a wildcard playoff spot? Too many variables to say they are targeting one player for next year.

Right now a line of Okung, Hamilton, Spencer, Unger and Locklear appears decent. If they keep Hass off his back, no reason he can't put up 2007 stats, 25-28 TDS

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted May 25, 2010 Sando Chats with Pete Carroll I know it's early, but Mike Williams, dare I say it??? Because he's been such a dog up to this point Im going to SEVERELY temper my expectations until I see him producing during the regular season. That being said, if he can put it together reuniting with Carroll....a guy his size...it would give this team something they haven't had in a long time. Intriguing. Redstone 0 Posted May 25, 2010 What's the skinny on Justin Forsett? Does he have a chance to emerge as the 'hawks top RB? That will be a true test of Carroll’s always compete philosophy. Right now it looks like it’s an up hill battle for Forsett but if he turns out to be the best talent he should get the playing time. So I'd say it’s all up to forsett. For fantasy just plan on RBBC from this team. It was his MO with SC running backs.

This will be a three headed monster with Forsett, Washington, and White (I think JJ gets cut).

I disagree, there will be a back that will be labled the top RB, just not fantasy-wise. Carroll give a guy the oppurtunity to get on role and if he continues to produce he keeps the playing time. But for fantasy it will be a typical RBBC. But that is what I said in the last post so I am not sure why you quoted me and reworded my point.

FlaHawker 24 Posted May 26, 2010 Leon Washington calmly describes "the bone poking out from my leg"Posted by Michael David Smith on May 26, 2010 9:36 AM ET Seattle Seahawks running back Leon Washington is able to talk calmly about suffering what may have been the ugliest injury of the 2009 NFL season. "I could see the bone poking out from my leg," Washington told the Seattle Times about the injury he suffered last year, "and real nonchalant, like I'm talking now, I said to the trainers, 'Hey, I think I broke my leg.'" The injury took place when Washington, playing for the Jets, got his first carry of an October 25 game against the Oakland Raiders. Since then he's been traded to the Seahawks, and he says it's going to take more than just a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula to keep him off the field in Seattle. "I had no doubt, no doubt at all, that I could come back," Washington said. "Once I got into that locker room and had a chance to talk with the doctors, I knew I'd have a chance to come back." Although Washington is sidelined during the Seahawks' current organized team activities, he says the doctors have told him he's 95 percent healed. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/

Joey Gladstone 33 Posted May 26, 2010 I found this entertaining: So Now We Will Have a Super Bowl at Qwest, Right? Pffft... of course not. Never going to happen. But now that XLVIII has be awarded to New Jersey, the last valid argument against having a Super Bowl in Seattle has vanished. Long time fans may remember the NFL has teased the Pacific Northwest with the possibility of hosting the roman numeral game before: XXVI was nearly awarded to Seattle, but instead was held at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. Additionally, the league made vague promises to site the championship game in Seattle back in 1997 to entice voter support for Referendum 48. So what are the main arguments against having, say, XLIX at Qwest Field? 1. Seattle is too small Bullshit. Seattle is the 14th biggest metro area in the US, and is bigger than future Super Bowl host Indianapolis, and previous hosts Minneapolis, New Orleans, San Diego, Tampa-St. Petersburg, and Jacksonville. 2. Seattle is too remote If the NFL is willing to put the big game in L.A., San Diego, Palo Alto, or Phoenix, there's no geographical reason to deny Seattle the big game. If you're coming from the East Coast or the midwest, it's a plane ride anyway. 3. Seattle's weather is too crappy New York City in February? Average high of 40 F, average low of 27 F, with an average of 3 inches of precipitation. Seattle? Average high of 49 F, low of 36 F, and 4 inches of rain. Worried about the Seattle rain? I'm sure Paul Allen would spring for some sort of canopy to be strung over the playing surface. The biggest argument that Seattle deserves a Super Bowl? The league has held the Super Bowl in ###### DETROIT. TWICE! Last time I checked, the Emerald City isn't a rotting death gauntlet. What do y'all think? Saint Elistan 106 Posted May 28, 2010 The Seahawks website briefly posted a press release that LenDale White was cut before taking it down. The content has since been deleted, but the Seattle Times suggests it was not a mistake and White will, in fact, be released. The move would come as a major surprise, as the once rotund White was down to 220 pounds and presumably in the best shape of his career. Julius Jones, the NFL's new Rasputin, will remain in the picture. Justin Forsett is easily the best fantasy bet in the Seattle backfield.
