WW, I know you've been here for a while, and as such you should be well aware of the Flahooker MO. Yes, if you look into the madness behind the dull and obscure posts of the Hawker you will discover that he does this not only to people who aren't fans of the Hawks, he does it to everybody. One is simply not allowed to disagree with Flahawker because that constitutes the actions of the enemy. A negative opinion, hell, even a differing opinion is not only an uninformed one, but yes, it's an insult as well.

 

My advice, don't bother. Probably 90% of the posters on here know he's a d-bag of the colossal order...the rest are his aliases.

I've decided that the Seahawks are going with Hasselbeck, Whitehurst, Losman because they are targeting Jake Locker for next year. He has the potential to become a franchise QB and is a hometown hero as well. I think it would be worthwhile to give up a few picks to trade up for him.

In the meantime, this year could be very difficult as I doubt Hasselbeck's back is going to make it through a whole season. The O-line is better, but still will be a little porous. Will Whitehurst be a sufficient backup? Maybe, but I'm doubtful again.

Umm I think Carroll and Schnieder decided that the Hawks will go with Hass, CW, and Loserman but that's another topic. There is NO WAY a team can target a player this far out. It would foolish to do so. That would mean they are making moves now to prepare for next year. What happens if Locker suffers a career ending injury? What happens if Hass gets hurt and CW leads the team to a wildcard playoff spot? Too many variables to say they are targeting one player for next year.

Joey, spot on! Hass will be fine if the line is solid. Right now a line of Okung, Hamilton, Spencer, Unger and Locklear appears decent. If they keep Hass off his back, no reason he can't put up 2007 stats, 25-28 TDS

That will be a true test of Carroll’s always compete philosophy. Right now it looks like it’s an up hill battle for Forsett but if he turns out to be the best talent he should get the playing time. So I'd say it’s all up to forsett. For fantasy just plan on RBBC from this team. It was his MO with SC running backs.

I disagree, there will be a back that will be labled the top RB, just not fantasy-wise. Carroll give a guy the oppurtunity to get on role and if he continues to produce he keeps the playing time. But for fantasy it will be a typical RBBC. But that is what I said in the last post so I am not sure why you quoted me and reworded my point.

Unfortunately, probably not too far from the truth, though I think Seattle comes out even against AZ under Leinart and beats Oakland, leaving them 8-8. An improvement over last year, and they still could take the division.

Seattle Seahawks running back Leon Washington is able to talk calmly about suffering what may have been the ugliest injury of the 2009 NFL season.

 

"I could see the bone poking out from my leg," Washington told the Seattle Times about the injury he suffered last year, "and real nonchalant, like I'm talking now, I said to the trainers, 'Hey, I think I broke my leg.'"

 

The injury took place when Washington, playing for the Jets, got his first carry of an October 25 game against the Oakland Raiders. Since then he's been traded to the Seahawks, and he says it's going to take more than just a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula to keep him off the field in Seattle.

 

"I had no doubt, no doubt at all, that I could come back," Washington said. "Once I got into that locker room and had a chance to talk with the doctors, I knew I'd have a chance to come back."

 

Although Washington is sidelined during the Seahawks' current organized team activities, he says the doctors have told him he's 95 percent healed.

If the NFL is willing to put the big game in L.A., San Diego, Palo Alto, or Phoenix, there's no geographical reason to deny Seattle the big game. If you're coming from the East Coast or the midwest, it's a plane ride anyway.

 

3. Seattle's weather is too crappy

 

New York City in February? Average high of 40 F, average low of 27 F, with an average of 3 inches of precipitation.

 

Seattle? Average high of 49 F, low of 36 F, and 4 inches of rain.

 

Worried about the Seattle rain? I'm sure Paul Allen would spring for some sort of canopy to be strung over the playing surface.

 

The biggest argument that Seattle deserves a Super Bowl? The league has held the Super Bowl in ###### DETROIT. TWICE! Last time I checked, the Emerald City isn't a rotting death gauntlet.
