jvirne 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Jihading other boards used to be my favorite thing about FFT. Remember the botched curly jihad? What about Gobbledog's fish board fiasco? Then there was the Dale Ernhardt memorial board. "His haid felled off!" The best thing about the short-lived First and Inches board was the jihad we pulled on a Jedi religion board. Is it a matter of the old (2000-2005) guard leaving? Are you people not interested in jihads? I'm not pointing fingers or talking smack. I'm genuinely curious. RLLD 4,230 Posted April 22, 2010 The Star Wars jihad was the poop, the curly one resulted in unintended consequences (never fock with self medicating wimmens commiserating) I think perhaps a few went to far, and the overlord became more observant over those trying to execute, and then he executed them..... Also, remember the fatass forum where those guys were talking about carrying extra toilet seats in their car....
jerryskids 6,792 Posted April 22, 2010 We've had a few petition sites; "Free Roman Polanski" went pretty well. In general I think it is a lack of interest and a lack of ability to subtlely infiltrate, vs. goin' in guns a blazin'.

In general I think it is a lack of interest and a lack of ability to subtlely infiltrate, vs. goin' in guns a blazin'. I missed the Polanski one and the fatass jihad. You're dead on about the method though. It only works with subtle infiltration. If you go in all grabastic with guns blazing, you just tally up a bunch of quick bannings. It's like premature ejaculation. Another problem is people jumping from this site to the target. The mods can read where you came from. When they notice 10 new disruptive members all coming from the same location, the gig is up.

I couldn't think of the name of that place, or I'd have mentioned in my original post that it doesn't help when one of your own members goes Benedict Arnold on you because he discovers a new crop of ghey men to try to talk to on the phone. cbfalcon 825 Posted April 22, 2010 A successful jihad requires 7 people at minimum. Since the Geek Club maxes out at 6 people here at a time, successful jihads have become mathematically impossible to organize.

jvirne 0 Posted April 22, 2010 A successful jihad requires 7 people at minimum. Since the Geek Club maxes out at 6 people here at a time, successful jihads have become mathematically impossible to organize. A couple people were talking about starting a spinoff board dedicated to jihads. A couple ideas floated were - - It'd have gates on the door but anyone could join. Membership would just prevent reverse-jihads, like the curly fiasco. - I think I know a way to make links posted on the board anonymous. So you could click a link in a thread and it'd go to an anonyomizer site first, then to the target. That'd prevent boards from tracking us. It's just talk though. I'm pretty lukewarm on the idea. RLLD 4,230 Posted April 22, 2010 Didn't a bunch of people start callin' Rustor's newpaper in Buttmont? I recall that someone's office did get a call, that pointed their boss toward FFT and another posters actions; Mike nipped that really quick, an the entire forearm rose up against that action..... TAS 2 Posted April 22, 2010 I never took part in the jihads, but followed along and the humor was greta! What also lacks on todays fft verse the old fft is the humor. There were days I couldn't go 10 posts without reading something that I was laughing so hard I cried. Now I go months without that. You people gotta get your "A" games back in order. jvirne 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Can you refresh my memory on that incident? I remember it vaguely but I was on hiatus from the bored when most of it was going on. I myself only lurked in the aftermath. Others can tell it better, but from what I gather the Geeks found a board devoted to women with curly hair - www.naturalcurly.com (I think). After much guffawing, they decided to infiltrate its ranks and begin a slow, concentrated jihad. Despite occurring in the days of Geek might, the curlies sniffed out the whole thing and ended up reverse-jihading FFT. Many came. Much carnage was sewn. Much unintentional laughter ensued, and the two boards have been forever linked. To this day several Geeks still post over there, and several curlies post here.
