Oct 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Karen Owen a graduate of the Duke University seems to be in some serious soup with a PowerPoint presentation of what she privately refers to as her “f*** list” went viral. The documentation titled “An Education Beyond The Classroom: Excelling In The Realm Of Horizontal Academics” was leaked out on the internet by one of her friend. The “unofficial senior thesis” contains her four years of sexual encounter with 13 members of Duke’s lacrosse, baseball and the tennis team while she was in duke university. The list rates each guy on a scale of 1 to 10 on their physical appearance, size, talent, creativity, aggressiveness and much more.

 

She supposedly did not want this documentation of her adventures to leak out as reports indicate that she mailed the presentation to three friends and one of them forwarded it and it went viral. The list circulated like fire on the internet and eventually found its way to Gawker sites, Jezebel and Deadspin.

 

Jezbel is said to have reacted by blurring the faces of the athletes in the list and redacted the names. Deadspin on the other hand did nothing of the sort and the full content of the list is reportedly on display.

 

Karen Owen may have to face some lawsuit in the future as the circulation of the list with personal information about those athletes is a case of invasion of privacy. Karen Owen said that she had no intention of intentionally hurting those people who are there on her list. She has reportedly deleted her social networking profiles since the list went viral.

Duke Players Incensed, Paranoid Over "Fùck List"

The names of the players have been redacted. Plenty of emails came pouring in in the wee hours that looked like this:

 

I would appreciate it if you would take down that article you just posted about that duke "###### list". I am one of the members on that list...

 

There were phone calls from angry parents, there were other cryptic emails from phony addresses saying things like "this is starting to ruin people's lives and jobs" etc. Also, it appears one of the men named was getting married this weekend. So we took out the names. The photos are still there because I don't see the point in blurring them out right now, considering it's fairly easy to find out who they are (if you want to) even with their faces all smudgy.

 

Even alumni are spooked, according to one tipster who says that some of his former Duke friends are having a tough time with this latest ordeal:

 

"...most of them played on men/woman lax team, and this brings back very bad memories...einforces the whole out of control sex scene at Duke..."

 

Etc.

 

But Karen Owen's name will stay put. It's out there and she seems content to accept responsibility and contrite for some of how this has transpired. Her email to Deadspin:

 

As the ashamed author of this slide show, I am horrified at your choice to include all the names that you did. While I cannot stop you from publishing it, this item was never meant to be seen outside of a very small circle of people. Obviously, it has gone viral. However, your inclusion of the real names are causing this awful situation to escalate even further and is actually starting to affect peoples' lives in ways that go far beyond mere embarrassment. Remove the names immediately, or I will be adding your blog post to the list of things I discuss with my attorney when we meet. If you would like to talk further, please include your number in your response and I will contact you as soon as I can. Again, including real names is simply cruel of you and you will black them out immediately.

 

We'll have an update on her later today as well.

 

But, for now, the names of the players will be pulled.
