This political madness has to stop - Woman kicked in the head by a guy

Recommended Posts

Arguing with MDC on this is futile. Obviously he has the ability to read minds, and if he had been there he would have said "Hey, that moveon.org bull dyke wearing a disguise and a history of mayhem running toward a candidate has only the best of intentions".

Too bad he wasn't there. This wouldn't be a story.

Apparently you guys are so partisan that you'll defend goons who assault defenseless women.

Sorry pal: We've already blown that straw man down. Regardless of the woman's intentions she was being restrained when the Paul supporter stepped on her head. Fortunately, Rand Paul has better sense than some of his supporters and fired the guy.

Whether she had any right to attend, I don't know. I don't know whether she was required to sign a loyalty oath of some kind or if this event was open to the public. I've already said she should've been escorted, forcibly if necessary.

But it is indefensible to step on her head while she's being restrained. Rand Paul knows it and that's why he fired that guy from his campaign. Apparently you guys are so partisan that you'll defend goons who assault defenseless women.

That reveals nothing about the tea party or Paul but it says a LOT about guys like you and MensaMind.

Hypocrite.

You're being quite sanctimonious. On the one hand, you laud her strategy of "setting out to make Rand Paul supporters look like losers" and "playing them like a fiddle", and on the other, condemn people for reacting as she - according to you - knew they would. You clearly admit that she knew the reaction that she would get, and - quite frankly - she had to be disguised to ensure it, and to cover the fact that she knows what her rap sheet looks like.

The plan, however, backfired, when she was detained.

You're intentionally criticizing the wrong group. Of course, criticizing the other group would mean criticizing yourself, so you won't do that. It's cowardly to provoke a free gathering of people in that manner, but you don't want this person to experience any negative consequence of such an invasive provocation.

And that says a LOT about you. You're as guilty as she is of this disruption.

This guy wasn't fired because this dyke did anything commendable. They had to fire this person for reasons of political expediency. That's because - as unfortunate as it is - the group that swings elections are the apolitical middle ground: the people that don't know what they think; that are swayed by media coverage of events. That's the group that campaigns play to; that's the group that the media most influences. The true skulls full of mush.

This lady wasn't hurt. She could have gotten far worse.

I wasn't commending her strategy of goading Paul supporters into a reaction, just noting that she successfully played them for suckers.

Regardless of her motives, stomping on her head while she was detailed was the wrong thing to do and indefensible.

And I'm not a member of MoveOn or even a registered Democrat.

Wrong on all counts.

They had to fire him out of expediency because most people outside of the right-wing echo chamber know that deliberately stepping on a woman's head while she's being restrained is wrong and makes you look like a focking goon, regardless of the circumstances.

That's a lesson that some people here should've learned by now.

Whatever. She deserved what she got - which was rather mild physical "man"handling. She could easily have avoided the chance of injury by not being a b!tch.

Who cares if you're not a registered Democrat? You're equally partisan regardless. Your own words reveal the truth of this: she knew what would happen; she went into this responsible for the outcome. She wanted an outcome of "playing people for suckers" as you say, so what she got, she could handle.

If her injuries required medical attention, I may have a different opinion. Because they didn't, I don't.

By the way: this leftist groups sent a woman in to do a man's job. Apparently, however, this specimem represented the best they had of either.

Assaulting a woman who's already been restrained is OK - gotcha.

And we've finally come full circle.

After reading this thread, i'm amazed that so many are suprised that people do stoopid things when things get out of hand. This is not a Kent State incident. Far from it.

Seems you need exposure to a true example of assault:

itsatip: a true assault would have had her interview held in ICU.

The former Rand Paul volunteer who stomped on the head of a prone MoveOn activist tells a local CBS affiliate he would've never put his foot on the victim at all if it wasn't for his bad back.

[Tim] Profitt explained that he used his foot to try and keep her down because he can't bend over because of back problems. He also says police were alerted to watch her before Paul arrived because people in the crown recognized her as someone who may try and pull a stunt."

clearly shows Lauren Valle subdued on the ground, held by multiple large men.

As long as you have no problems with your wife/mother/daughter being handled like that, IMMensa, I have no problem with your take on this....

Personally, I'm 6'4", 225.... so I have no "issues" that would make me ever dream of handling a tiny woman that way.... but to each his own

Stomp on her head then....

Gouge her eyes out...

Whatever it takes :pointstosky:

My point was that bigger fellas always seem to be able to handle women with less violence than little fellas... I don't know why :)

Rand Paul's campaign fired the assailant.

The victim filed an assault charge.

The goon tried to hide his face on camera.

You continue to defend violence against a defenseless woman.

Not much else to discuss here. :dunno:

Assault and Battery

Assault & Battery:

In most states, an Assault & Battery is committed when one person 1) tries to or does physically strike another, or 2) acts in a threatening manner to put another in fear of immediate harm. Many states declare that a more serious or "aggravated" assault/battery occurs when one 1) tries to or does cause severe injury to another, or 2) causes injury through use of a deadly weapon. Historically, laws treated the threat of physical injury as "assault", and the completed act of physical contact or offensive touching as "battery," but many states no longer differentiate between the two.

I'm not at all surprised at the way you think. You strike me as the kind of guy who condones hitting women.

Maybe you should discuss your stance on the abuse of women the next time you're talking to Jesus, since you're a Christian and all.

Youre all pathetic partisan hacks without an ounce of integrity in ya.

As has been said before, in no-neckski's warped world, there is no difference between Muslims. There are no moderate Muslims. If you don't agree that all Muslims are terrorists, then you automatically support everything that extremist Muslims do.

Don't try reason on him. His tiny brain can't handle it. Just weep for the future, since his focked up attitude is sadly common.

I don't think i was crying about tea partiers. I used that as an example as people going too far. I said both sides need to relax a lil bit. Bearded commies like me and gun totin tea partiers alike need to condemn these kinds of actions. I think its stupid when protests turn in to riots. Smashing a small business owners window does not help anything. If you think im extreme because i don't think guys should step on a persons head, then call me an extremist.

Assault and Battery

By that addled standard, Frank, no woman could possibly legally endure rough treatment while being restrained by security - and we should all know how asinine such a stance is. A&B rules apply to unprovoked attacks, porkchop - not to restraining an assailant. There are rules of personal security you are (knowingly) ignoring.

I'm not at all surprised at the way you think. You strike me as the kind of guy who condones hitting women.

What a morally bankrupt thing to say - and one you would NEVER have to courage to say in person.

What she did was dumb. People do that left and right. What the guy did was criminal. Its sad to see you excuse away his behavior. If you had this stance had it been a liberal hippy, then at least you'd be consistent. But you're not fooling anyone into thinking you would be defending a hippy.

Its just a sad commentary about fantasy land boards where they think things like this are ok. Phillybear is the worst. He's just a horrible human being for saying the stuff he does. I don't get why people act so differntly on fantasy land than they do from real life. Why say sh1t like, i wish i had a sock full of pennies.

Jail time, a trial before a jury of her peers and sentencing..... these are consequences of your actions here in America....

Stepping on women's heads? That sounds like Muslim extremist stuff

When I saw the embedded video I thought "stomped" was a huge exaggeration, she was taken down a little vigorously yeah, and that was more like a slow head push. But when I saw it on TV...bigger screen (cleaned up video?)...somehow it was a lot clearer, it made me think "damn, that's overkill." I could see how she got hurt, and seemed alright because of adrenaline during the interview.

Lol my thoughts exactly. So far, the reaction has been, she deserved.

I thought this would be something everyone would agree on. Realize the fringes are getting a little crazy on both sides and things need to change. Thats why i mentioned stewart. But apparently RP/Mensa are that fringe that is too loud.
