Portis26 0 Posted April 18, 2011 Final consensus on the Saints - Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois On the clock: Seattle Seahawks Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas - 2 Seahawks take a QB, but not Mallett Jake Locker is the pick
Bishop82 61 Posted April 18, 2011 Seattle's D was horrible last year I'd go with Muhammad Wilkerson, DE, Temple
Stewburtx8 67 Posted April 18, 2011 Seahawks take Jake Locker. I'm not a Ryan Mallett fan at all, as I've stated earlier.
420allstars 13 Posted April 18, 2011 Seahawks take Jake Locker. I'm not a Ryan Mallett fan at all, as I've stated earlier. I will go locker x3 I personally like mallett better but I have heard alot of praise for locker from the seahawks!

MicktheGreat 1 Posted April 18, 2011 26. Baltimore Ravens on the clock... The Ravens need some help at CB, so I'd vote CB Brandon Harris who should start for them from day one.
Smileseers 54 Posted April 18, 2011 WR Titus Young from Boise State gets my vote. As a Steelers fan, I would least like the Ravens to pick a WR in the first round. Ozzie gets Flacco a young weapon to grow with.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm torn between Harris and Sherrod for the Ravens. I think corner is a bigger need so Brandon Harris is the pick.
Portis26 0 Posted April 18, 2011 Brandon Harris x3 to Ravens Falcons take RB Mikel Leshoure Just because he will spell Turner and eventually take over as the starter and let turner become the gl back. Turner also has been banged up last few years. Will also add speed to backfield
worm 36 Posted April 18, 2011 Falcons - Adrian Clayborn
Mike FF Today 732 Posted April 18, 2011 I agree that the Falcons need to draft a RB at some point but not here. I'll cast another vote for Clayborn. Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa - 2 Mikel LeShoure, RB, Illinois -
420allstars 13 Posted April 18, 2011 I'll go with Mike here and make it official Falcons select Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa -
420allstars 13 Posted April 18, 2011 28. New England Patriots on the clock Now this is very un Belechik like but I really do see them selecting Mikel LeShoure, RB, Illinois I also this pick is up for grabs so I doubt they will make this one anyways but just for fun..
Portis26 0 Posted April 18, 2011 Pats - Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois He can play both inside and outside, and can really get to the ball quickly. Belicheats dream player
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted April 18, 2011 I think Nick Fairley is the pick for Tennessee. After taking Morgan last year, I don't see them taking Bowers. I think interior line is an issue, and Fairley could be a perennial pro bowler if he shows a greater work ethic. And when was the last time you saw a player work harder AFTER he gets an 8 figure deal than he did when he was in college trying to get there? I'm sick of Titan's head cases like P. Jones, Haynesworth, Britt, Young. Take A smart good character guy with a high work ethic. Smart and hard working beats dumb and lazy all day in the NFL. Joey Gladstone 33 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm going to go with a weird hunch and Have the Pats taking Phil Taylor NT Baylor. Nice blend of size and quickness. Pats dont mind taking chances on guys with character concerns, and Taylor's are long behind him.
WhiteWonder 2,767 Posted April 18, 2011 Brandon Harris x3 to Ravens Falcons take RB Mikel Leshoure Just because he will spell Turner and eventually take over as the starter and let turner become the gl back. Turner also has been banged up last few years. Will also add speed to backfield with Snelling getting a 2nd round tender (pending whatever happens with CBA etc.) I don't see the Falcons taking a RB this early. They should be more than comfortable with Turner and Snelling who has done great whenever Turner missed time. Maybe a 4th or 5th round project at RB. Gotta go defense here or maybe an OT

Britt actually demonstrated great work ethic leading up to the draft. I was following his draft prep and he never had any issues at Rutgers. So its really a shame to see him slipping now. Too much talent.
WhiteWonder 2,767 Posted April 18, 2011 I think this pick gets traded. Almost a lock that the Pats will trade with a team looking for a QB and with Mallet, Dalton, Ponder all available... someone will bite and trade up. Buffalo, San Fran, Minny, Tenn, Arizona but for mock's sake i'll put a 2nd vote on the board for Martez Wilson
Mike FF Today 732 Posted April 19, 2011 Current consensus for New England... Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois - 2 Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor - 1 Mikel LeShoure, RB, Illinois -
jgcrawfish 232 Posted April 19, 2011 Current consensus for New England... Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois - 2 Phil Taylor, NT, Baylor - 1 Mikel LeShoure, RB, Illinois - 1 mark me down for Willson...although i think the Pats trade back.
MicktheGreat 1 Posted April 19, 2011 Patriots select LB Martez Wilson Bears are on the clock... I'll give my vote for DT Stephen Paea (Oregon St). I could see the Bears maybe looking to improve at OL and WR too, but I don't think there's anybody at those positions that I'd pick this highly. Paea can step-in and give the Bears more of a pass-rush, alongside Julius Peppers.
IGotWorms 4,059 Posted April 19, 2011 Martez Wilson? That would be a shocker. Pats don't need an ILB so that would only make sense if the kid was moved to OLB. I don't see that happening. But that is a tough spot for the Pats. With Cam Jordan off the board you have to figure they wouldn't go for another d-lineman so soon. There aren't really an OLB projects worth taking here except maybe Jabaal Sheard or Brooks Reed. I don't think Reed is the kind of player they covet but Sheard could be a possibility. They would probably take Brandon Harris but he was off the board in this scenario. They could use an OT though (Matt Light is a free agent and isn't getting any younger in any event). So for the record, my guess is that they would take Sheard or Sherrod instead.
IGotWorms 4,059 Posted April 19, 2011 I see a number of possibilites for the Bears. Paea is a good choice. Derek Sherrod is available and the Bears are badly in need of offensive line help. But I think that they can't pass up DT Muhammad Wilkerson, who's still on the board.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted April 19, 2011 Derek Sherrod to the Bears Chicago could use some young talent up front and Sherrod is as good a prospect as any of the top tackles.

I do agree they need OL but in this draft Wilson was better then any available OL. Stewburtx8 67 Posted April 19, 2011 I'll make that x3 on Wilkerson. I think he is by far the BPA at this point. Top 15 talent in my opinion, pushing top 10.
420allstars 13 Posted April 19, 2011 DT Muhammad Wilkerson X3. and I cant beleive he fell this far!
420allstars 13 Posted April 19, 2011 30. New York Jets on the clock.. I am thinking "o" line?
420allstars 13 Posted April 19, 2011 Derek Sherrod, OT, Mississippi State still available correct? he seems like the top rated linemen remaining..I think they are pretty solid on defence..maybe a wr?
WhiteWonder 2,767 Posted April 19, 2011 This will be a front 7 pick. They will grab a lineman later. Remember, they think vlad ducasse can take over at rt. Akeem ayers or Phil Taylor. I'll say Taylor since ayers is off the board
Stewburtx8 67 Posted April 19, 2011 I'll defer to the resident Jet fan and agree on Phil Taylor, DT
Smileseers 54 Posted April 19, 2011 DT Marvin Austin from North Carolina gets my vote. He is ranked higher than Wilkerson or Taylor on many drafts boards and deserves consideration IMO.
IGotWorms 4,059 Posted April 19, 2011 Phil Taylor to the Jets. It's difficult to find guys who are that big and yet still agile.

If you saw Wilson play , you'd be happy and not call this pick a 'shocker' it's more of s shock that he was available still Do you think Wilson can play OLB? Because I agree that they generally need to upgrade their defensive front seven, but they are actually pretty decent at ILB. Jerod Mayo is a tackling machine and Spikes was very good on run defense (when his dumb@ss wasn't suspended, that is). Guyton is a good spot starter and primary backup.
MicktheGreat 1 Posted April 19, 2011 Steelers are on the clock I'll vote OT Derek Sherrod (Miss St). The Steelers OL had consistency problems last season, and they weren't helped by the fact that they couldn't seem to stay healthy along the OL. There's no guarantee how Max Starks will play returning from his season-ending neck injury, and I doubt the Steelers are crazy enough to put all their trust in the aged Flozell Adams. Sherrod can play either Right-OT or Left-OT -- depending on Starks' prognosis. Plus, Sherrod's arguably the last of the top-tier OL in this draft, so the Steelers won't find a comparable guy in the 2nd Round.

Martel Webster seemed like a reach here. He is the best inside linebacker in this class, but I don't think he is a first rounder. I also don't think he fits the Patriots needs very well. I would of went with Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia in that spot. Would be a better fit at a position of need in my opinion. But that's what is fun about this exercise, everyone has different opinions. I thought Muhammed Wilkerson and Cody Liuget fell too far.
Stewburtx8 67 Posted April 19, 2011 For Pittsburgh I will say Aaron Williams, CB, Texas. I personally like him better than Brandon Harris. His risk taking and playmking ability reminds a lot of Asante Samuel, and I think LeBeau would do wonders for him.
