Mitt Romney is a Birther

Recommended Posts

Commerce, Michigan (CNN) - Mitt Romney chose a Friday campaign rally in Michigan, the state where he was born, to make reference to the highly charged and controversial "birther" movement, joking that "no one has ever asked to see my birth certificate."

...

"I love being home in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born," Romney said on Friday. "Ann was born at Henry Ford hospital, I was born at Harper hospital. No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised."

We can't know if he's a unicorn or not since he won't produce documentation refuting the allegation. But we do know that he is a birther.

How?

Worms, you really, really suck at fishing trips.

And you suck at recognizing when a politician is pandering to the racist mouth-breathers who make up his base.

Mitt Romney is a unicorn. His dad issued him a fake birth certificate since he was governor of the state. I read this online and the person who wrote it was really angry about it so it must be true. But yet no one is talking about it, it must be a media conspiracy!

Nobody ever asked for your birth certificate cause you're a massively rich white guy with a tremendous sense of entitlement, Mitt.

Mitt Romney in April 2011:

"I think the citizenship test has been passed. I believe the president was born in the United States,” the former Massachusetts governor told CNBC. “There are real reasons to get this guy out of office, but his citizenship isn't the reason why."

Awesome thread, Worms!

Way to keep up with the latest talking points worms.

Also, I heard about this on the radio about an hour ago. After laughing at Team Obama's response, I thought "what kind of pathetic imbecile would try to spin this as Romney being a birther?" Now I know.

Obama is the one who has flip-flopped on this. His official Bio said he was born in Kenya from 1991 until 2 months after he announced his run for the President in 2007.

Oops!

More "Shiny Things" to occupy the sheeple.

They toss them out the window as they go by and Worms chases them like a 4 year old scrambling for bubble gum flying off a float at the local parade.

I don't like how Mitt Romney goes around reminding people he's from Michigan. Just shut up about it and keep mentioning Massachusetts so we can all pretend he's from there.

Obama has a tremendous sense of entitlement as well. For himself and his chosen few

Oops!

It wasn't an official bio. It was his publicist playing an angle that he was comfortable with because he plays more angles than a snooker player

He should stick to important issues like Obama does. How is Seamus the Dog doing?

For your edification, Phurfur:

Though several aides to Mr. Romney emphasized that he has previously stated his belief that the president was born in the United States, and was simply talking about his own local roots, Mr. Romney has long made a point of painting Mr. Obama as somebody who “takes his cues from the Social Democrats of Europe” and who just doesn’t understand what makes this country great.

Some of Mr. Romney’s team have previously gotten in trouble for seeming to question the president’s roots. During the primaries, one of Mr. Romney’s sons, Matt, was first to apologize after making a birther joke at a campaign stop. And on a conference call with reporters last month, John Sununu, a Romney surrogate and the former governor of New Hampshire, said, “I wish this president would learn how to be an American.”

Few voters in the crowd believed that Mr. Romney was simply talking about his Michigan roots.

“It was probably a contrast with Obama’s birth certificate issue, and second, that he was born in Michigan,” said Daryl Pender, 56, who owns a small business in town. “We know the hospital where he was born. There’s no doubt about where he was born.”

She added: “I can’t say what’s fair. But it wasn’t relevant to what I wanted to know. I want to hear about his vision for the future.”

Sylvia Kaponi, 65, a retired Ford Motor employee from Livonia, Mich., said there was no doubt in her mind as to what Mr. Romney was referring to — and she thought it was “great.”

“He was talking about a contrast with the president, and being a hometown guy,” she said. “What I liked was that it was a mild way to touch on a touchy subject with no animosity.”

His own supporters thought he was referencing the birther thing! And of course they liked it, being the unenlightened subhumans that they are.

If anyone's unsure whether Mitt's a birther, just wait a few days and he'll change his mind.

No.

As opposed to Romney the populist?

I can't believe that the doosh is flirting, albeit in an implied manner, with the birther crowd. Actually I can, its just pathetic. What a focking pathetic bag of wind.

God both of these candidates suck. I have never in my life been so unimpressed with both tickets in a presidential race.
