Foster is a steal at #4. I understand the concerns, but he's still in a perfect system for his game and will get 13-17 TDs.

Actually not big on Rice at #5. I think his backup is pretty dynamic and could steal touches from him this year. Rice is a safe pick, but there are other players I would have been more excited about with that pick.

I think he likely has one last year leading the league before the fall off, my main concern for him will be if he can finsih the season and then secondly if he finishes the season in a productive enough level to enable me to win those championship games in the later NFL games.

If you have this guy, and see nagging injuries piling up, missed play time etc, once you have a chance to trade him later in the season I would do it.

I considered Arian at #2, and he was the one consistently being taken top-three that I dismissed. I like him, and he's probably safe, but I'm that guy who isn't comfortable with the nagging injuries, His receiving yards dropped last year, as well, and I am thinking that might be more a trend going forward. That raises the value of a Ray Rice, who was one of my other two serious considerations.

Good selection with Foster; certainly cannot argue with it.

I have reservations about Rice as well, I likely would not have taken him at #5. I can see some rationale behind it given the departure of Boldin, Rice should become a more prominent participant in the passing game as i do not think that Dickson et al are all that reliable.

I was pleased, as I thought there was a 50/50 chance that my guy (Martin) would go there.

I wish martin would have slid one more spot. Would have liked his younger legs. I had to take Foster over Rice in this format though I was slightly torn. Foster will have more TD ops.

Monday morning meeting at 8:30 and just missed the pick before me. Sorry I wasted an hour.....I wasn't too concerned because I figured Jeff would call. (806) 202-0265

Happy with Rice at #5. I always go safe with my 1st pick, and Rice was the safest pick imo.

His touches went down last season but still finished a top 5 RB.

I think Benard Pierce will get a lot more touches this year, but that will be at the expense of the WRs (or lack there of) and not Rice.

Pretty confident Rice will be a top 5 RB at the end of this year.

Stop name dropping. Pierce is on my short list for this round.

Thanks

I thought we were allowed to name drop for this draft. If I remembered correctly we did it last year.

If I'm not remembering correctly, my bad. I'll staap.

I don't quite remember a year where the separation was this large between the #1 overall and the rest of the draft.

I might be in the minority but I don't see peterson being that far ahead. I actually think his season has the most tightly bunched first round in recent memory.

I'm not sure that he finishes so far ahead, but he is by far the safest bet there is.

This happened with Matt last year. After his first pick, he was fine, but he was MIA most of the first day. I'll give him another half hour or so and then let someone pick for him.

Is there anyway to reach him? I'd hate to give him a sour taste for the rest of the year by taking away his most important pick.

I can e-mail him. We had to pick for him last year in the first round, too. Didn't show up on Day One until late in the day.

I would venture that foster is as safe as any pick in this years draft.....nagging injuries or not he's in a great system for production and is an elite talent......he's come a long way in maturity from his tennessee days....

Matt made his pic....WOOT! I was wondering how long it would take before someone jumped over to Calvin territory.

Happy that Megatron went before me, as I was going to pass on him.

I think more than any year before, this is the year of the 1st round RB.

Plenty of QBs who can put up numbers. Plenty of WRs who can produce. But the true number 1 is getting rarer and rarer, and looking at ADPs, I wouldn't be comfortable with any as RB1s after the top 7.

I was really hoping that Calvin Johnson would fall to me, disappointing, but I had a backup plan in place in case it did not pan out. Trent Richardson is standar fare for this area of the draft.

You're number 10, not 9. :nono:

I am a big fan of Lynch, and feel he will return well in this format. the fact that he will be grinding out the 4th quarter with the lead most of the time is a plus. I have him right with rice. Wtf is up with my font size and yes I am too stupid to fix it. I just tried.

Try hitting the lightswitch in the top left of the reply area a couple times.

I too am pleased Megatron went before me as I didn't want to have to make a choice. Spiller will serve me well here, and at 6.2 yards per touch last year... a good bet to do well this year!

Megatron was a consideration, but in a non- PPR I think Spiller is a better option. Many receivers still on the board!

I really, really wanted Lynch at 1.09 as I think he's a safe pick with upside. When Spiller went at 1.07, I thought he might fall (although per V4E's list, I knew he probably wouldn't).

With Chip Kelly onboard, who knows what McCoy will do...but I liked him better than my other options. Including Richardson who I have as my #10 RB at the moment due to some health concerns.

White Wonder must be struggling with this decision...

It's hard being the defending champion...
