I have discovered a slight issue with our league, and i need you all to weigh in on how you want me to handle it.

"In offline draft leagues, initial waiver priority is determined by the reverse order in which teams registered for the league. However, if the commissioner chooses to customize the draft order prior to entering offline draft results, the initial waiver priority list will become the reverse of this draft order."

So this is how its set right now. Should i change it to the reverse order of the draft?or just leave it alone?

It should be based on record then points.

I dont think ive ever played in a league that didnt have the initial waiver order be in the inverse of the draft. Im not a fan of leagues that reset their WW list every week.I like the continual lists that roll over. I didnt even think to look because i was sure that that was just the default setting for all fantasy football. If i had known that there was a choice to be made, i would have 100% set this at reverse order of draft. Next year it will 100% be set to reverse order of draft. I was just wanting some input on whether i should change it this year, since we are salready almost done with week 1.

Using sign up date is a ridiculous way to determine waiver order, IMO, and especially using the reverse sign up date order. Rewarding stragglers is a horrible idea.

It occurs to me now that there is going to be a subset of owners who know they should be at the bottom of the WW prioity list, but are currently near the top who isnt going to want me to change things. And there is going to be a subset currently at the bottom who do want me to change things.

Dammit. Being commish'ner is hard werk.

waiver order should be worst to first.

or even better, give everyone a fictional 100 budget and the highest bidder gets the player, regardless of record or points.

or, once you make a claim, you go to the end of the waiver wire priority. if my team sucks and I make 3 moves, and SC's team is great and he makes zero moves and in week 4 we put a claim on the same player, SC gets the player

this is why espn > yahoo

Initial WW order is always reverse of the draft order.

Then its a rolling system. Make a waiver pick and you get bumped to the bottom, no resets.

Any other way is swirve.

This.

The problem arose because we drafted using MFL, and then i manually entered the rosters. Even though i entered the draft order correctly, and asssumed Yahoo would use that t determine initial ww priority. For some reason Yahoo uses sign up date when a league drafts away from yahoo. Thats g0ddamn retarded.

Just so this is clear, i am resetting the ww order to the reverse order of the draft. Since GoGarys has already used a waiver pickup, i am leaving him at 12. Everyone else will be in reverse order of the draft. The WW will then roll continuously for the rest of the season. It will not reset each week.

Thanks for the input.

I feel you. I've got a league with Calvin, Julio, and Burleson. My WRs are shot.
