***The Official Seattle Seahawks 2013 Season Thread***

Wasn't Bates the kid from G.B?

If so, I remember alot of fans liking him and pissed he was a numbers casualty. Although they really were loaded at wr.

Unless I am mistaken, Bates spent a most of last season on our practice squad, his rookie year. He then got signed to a futures contract.

He made a good impression on me in college playing for Ohio University in the MAC, way before he ever showed up in camp. He has talent and size, a physical type of WR.

Pete Carroll needs to walk into the lockeroom and give the speech Chuck Knox gave after Curt Warner blew out his knee in the 1st game of the 1984 season.

Percy harvin does not play QB, does not play OL, does not play RB full-time, does not play TE, does not play on DEF and does not kick the ball. Therefore, there should be NO impact or drop off from those units because of Harvin's injury. WRs need to just do what they do and play. We have the same core of WR s we had last year who helped put the team 30 seconds away from the NFC Championship game.

No excuses. Move forward. Compete. Win.

I think you are correct. Kopy may be thinking of Ruvell Martin wo played during Carroll's first year here.

You're a half-dead sissy-boy. You'd never come within 100 yards of me. Gnarley talons or not.

I have a drone. Do me a favor and ignore that red dot on your forehead that isn't acne.

Yeah, he played for Green Bay early in his career. The only thing I can recall about Ruvell Martin is I'm nearly certain he was the one who caught that bomb from Charlie Whitehurst on the first offensive series of the game, leading to the Mike Williams TD, in the season finale in 2010 vs St Louis that won the division for the Seahawks, right before the Beast Quake playoff win. Without Martin, we may never have had that moment for the ages of Lynch running over the entire Saints defense in a stadium that burst into pure chaos and delirium.

No, you cheered the injury. Now you realize what a buffoon you look like cheering an injury so you're trying to backtrack. It's the flthy in you. It's in your genes. That's what you come from.

Ok. I can live with that.  Enjoy your season with "Sophomore Slump" Wilson at the helm and no more Fail Mary fluke wins.

How's Rice gonna step up? He's on his way to Katmandu to have his knee checked.

Does not seem like a big issue. Though, certainly not a great sign. Especially given his lack of health at times in his career.

 Robert Turbin and Christine Michael disagree.

Again...so much for ignoring me.

They are taken into consideration. But...with Harvin, there would figure to be a few runs for him here and there. A lot more short passes.

Some of those, IMO...will be back to Lynch more so than the others.

But keep trying.

Lynch's role was being reduced this year regardless of whether it was Harvin talking some carries or a combination of Turbin/Michael. The Hawks want to make sure his minor aliments (like his back) do not flare up so that he is super healthy for a playoff run. Maybe he gains an extra 25 carries or so if Harvin is out for the year. If Harvin is out for the year Michael will be the beneficiary, not Lynch. Now please move along and talk about something you know (which sure as hell isn't much). .You're embarrassing yourself.

25 extra carries is quite a bit....seems you admit he is a beneficiary...

So...again, how was my comment stupid...and how is this something I don't know very well when you even admit the benefit.

Talk about embarassing...its your focking team and you call me out...then admit my point was valid.

Too focking funny.

Um, I'm not so sure Lynch gets the extra carries. There is no doubt that Lynch is a warrior, a special type of RB, second only to Adrian Peterson in this league. But, Carroll has not been necessarily a big propenent of single feature back. Remember the salad days of Reggie Bush in USC. LenWhale White got tons of carries. I think Carroll wants to preserve Lynch for important games, and let Turbin and Girl's Name get a share of carries. Carroll might be an overexcited guy, but he's not stupid. A punishing back like Lynch isn't going to last that much longer if you keep letting him sledgehammer his way into defenses. You have to reduce his carries. So, I don't think the Harvin injury does much to affect Lynch's numbers, as far as I can tell.

Not sure about "extra" carries.

But more my thinking was that his carries would lessen a bit more with Harvin.

With Percy out...he gains some of those carries back and benefits from other things by not having Harvin's skills on the field.

Knuckle squawk could tone it down without sacrificing his manhood

But then I'd almost be disappointed

He does not know how to tone it down.

I mean...he basically calls me out and calls me stupid for thinking Lynch might benefit from Harvin being out.

Then concedes an extra 25 carries.

You can't make this stuff up.

25 carries was a pure guess on my part. But like I said and you have supported Lynch will not be the benefactor of the Harvin injury. And in my opinion that person will be Christine Michael. But I love how these dooshes like Slow Nuts think they are experts on a team they do not even follow.

Lynch ran for something like 315 carries last year if I remember correctly. If you added on 25 more, that would be roughly 8% more. That's kind of significant. However the presence of Christine Michael this year, who is a power back too, means that Lynch's carries should go down, not up, regardless of what happens with Harvin.

You are waiting for someone else to show a link to some distractions.

Id like a link where I claimed to be an expert on the Seahawks?

I gave my opinion that Lynch would benefit from Harvin not being there.

You called me stupid.

Then conceded he may see extra carries.

Seems the only thing you are an expert on is being a complete ignorant d-bag.

Does not take an expert to think about things logically...just takes someone smarter than you (which includes most people on this board)

My point was not that he would increase from last year.

Already thought he would lose some...to Turbin, to Michael....and prior to injury...to Harvin.

Now you have any carries Harvin had gone.

They probably rely more heavily on the run game.

In the end, the biggest benefactor in FF will be Lynch. Not that the others won't see some uptick with Harvin out...but other than in deep leagues...what those guys get is nearly irrelevant.

It seems a certain FudgePacker fan likes to troll Seahawk threads on other forearms as well. (and he's liked just as much over there  )

Crying about Seahawks fans:

SEems the most vocal are the 2 biggest homers...and if you disagree with them you get insulted.

Also seems several are a bit overconfident about some things.

Nice to have a great team and up and coming...but a few act as if the Hawks have already won it all.

Of all people...........

Just for the record, you're in our thread. If it feels like Seahawks fans are following you around then don't post in here.

Being compared to Sweetness:

Who's calling people names now? Quite the hypocrite.

And don't flatter yourself there Michael Keaton. This is a public forum. I click on many threads when I come to this site. I'm going to say this and then I'm done. It hilarious that you're here saying the things you do when (as I stated yesterday in another thread) you're the equivalent of him as a Packer fan.

Seriously this guy has a problem. Gets mad at Seahawk fans for rooting for their team, bashes Sweetness but yet doesn't realize he is the Packer fan version of sweetness. This dude has serious issues. And he's vilified on every message bored out there and yet NEVER, I mean NEVER talks Packers only Seahawks.

Whats great about this...

A. You said you are going to ignore me. You lie.

B. You call me a stalker...yet there you are, pulling up quotes by me from another board that you follow me on. Talk about someone with a problem...get a life.

C. Im hated because one hawk fan...and another d-bag who is a Saints fan who follows me around crying and whining about me answering someone's question in a Hawks thread about why others don't like seahawks fans. You keep saying Im hated there...but really have nothing to back that up other than a few people that don't like that I post a lot and take the bait at times of some fisherman from :e:.

Too funny.

Where did I get mad at Seahawks fans for rooting for their team? Im not mad at their fans...I calmly explained that Seahawks fans are getting a bad rap because 2 of their most vocal fans on different boards (you here...and Im The Scientist over there) are the biggest loudmouthed blind rah rah homers out there.

Glad you think Im the Packer version of Sweetness (look in the mirror chief).

Unlike you and him...I stand by what I say about my team...don't run from things I have said (like he does for sure...check his board about Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy are Dumb and Dumber...).

I rightfully criticize my team when needed...defend them from some idiots...and admit where they go wrong. Oh, and my support is there...but not the blind rah rah crap that you two do.

I never talk Packers? You might want to get better at your stalking.

Ive discussed Lacy, started a Packer thread...discussed the Oline...defense...coaching...and so on.

Nice try...but as usual...a huge fail.

And your response here will be quite predictable Im sure...flat out denial...ignoring...posting a video or your little loving emoticon...but what you proved is that anytime you call me a stalker...you just make yourself look stupid since you follow me around on another board you focking psycho.

Of course logic is futile.

But I love his example is one seahawk fan (who gets pissed if anyone else comes in their topic...even when a question was asked of other fans why they view Seahawk fans the way they do)...and the other is a Saints fan who (if anyone pulled up his posts over there...would see that most of his latest posts have been directed at following me around to try bashing me).

That and always hilarious is the guy who claims others stalk him...and then he posts quotes about that person from another board.

You cannot make that up right there.

Helpful Hints:

I bet if you stop at your local soup kitchen they will have some of those individual packets of saltines that paying customers get in diners/restaurants and if you ask nicely I'm sure they will help you out. Heat week old chili, crumble crackers on top. Enjoy!
