I know this has been a popular speculative point, but I think Robinson plays out his contract this year and won't be resigned next year. Why cut him? We still have something like 5 million under the cap, and picked up even more cap space from the Moffitt trade. You got rid of Leon Washington already. When you led the league in rushing attempts last year, and will probably do so again, you need a full stable of running backs. Plus, none of the RB/FB on the team can even adequately block as the lead in an I-formation to lead Marshawn Lynch other than Robinson. Cutting him would limit the running play book. No, Robinson is going to be part of a 5 RB group to make the team, or call me a monkey's uncle. Lynch, Turbin, Girl's Name, Robinson, Ware.

Not that the Pro Bowl is all that legitimate, but Michael Robinson started in the 2012 Pro Bowl.

 

I guess that makes San Fran feel really satisfied with cutting Robinson, one of the best players in his position in the league.

Thats literally one of the worst posts I've seen in this topic. I don't usually engage in the thread wars, and just glance over them quickly, so I do miss alot. But this is horrible.

You might be a niner fan, and maybe his time there you could've gone without. But you clearly have not seen what he's meant to this team since he's been here.

I'll be the first to admitt though. All this has to do with the owner.

Paul Allen has givin them an open checkbook. One of the best Stadiums in the league, and probably the single best practice facility in the league. Then after all that, he stands in the background and lets the football people make the football decisions.

That has to really be all on him, and what he's meant to this team.

That's why I've always said. The day they win the superbowl, the best part of the moment for me will be when they're on stage celebrating, and Paul Allen is raising the Lombardi trophy.

 

I'm sure this new found metitation couldn't be done in 90% of the franchises out there.

It's hard not rooting for them after reading that article. I like teams that think outside the box. Reminds me a lot of Billy Beane and the Oakland A's when Moneyball came out.

Jordan Hill - DL - Seahawks

According to CBS 21, Seahawks third-round DT Jordan Hill (biceps) is out 3-6 weeks.

An MRI revealed a partial tear for Hill and he is not expected to need surgery. It's a chance for the Seahawks' loaded defensive line to flash their depth. Clinton McDonald and Jesse Williams are next up at defensive tackle behind starters Brandon Mebane and Michael Bennett.

Is it really worth the read if I've already seen the movie?

 

The last baseball book I read was Joe Torre's which I thought was pretty good.

 

I play a lot of high level fantasy baseball so when it came out in 2003, I grabbed it and read it. Afterwards, I really wanted to comprehend sabermetrics and everything I could find about applying them to fantasy baseball.

 

Long story short, it was really worth it if you want to understand that area of baseball statistics.

If Tate has a big year PC/JS will pay him. Both Rice and Lynch (even Zach Miller to an extent) could be gone after this year so money should not be a problem.

Tate will get his payday, probably with the Seahawks. I think Rice's contract deescalates, meaning it's value goes down until it expires, so we've paid out the majority of it already. Or maybe I'm confusing it another contract. Either way, Rice is a guy I want to hold onto. He makes tremendous acrobatic catches and consistently creates separation from the coverage. He is a really talented yet underrated WR to seems to be healthier than he has been in years. I'd like to see Rice on this team another 2 to 3 years.

I know that it's not going to be easy to keep Rice, Miller, Lynch, with all the young guys coming up on expiring contracts. There seems to be a succession plan in place. I just don't like the talent level of the guys that would replace a Rice, Miller, and Lynch at this point. I have to trust in the cap juggling by Schneider, as he's done a masterful job so far.

 

Plus, many of the defensive guys we added were one year deals: Avril, Bennett, Winfield. They can come off the cap easily if we don't want them. As can Giacomini and McQuistan, who I am sure come off the books after this season.

Looks like tonight's game vs Green Bay will be on national TV again. That makes it 3 for 3 in getting Seahawk preseason games this year on TV for me, where I didn't have to search out an internet stream. Life is good when your team is interesting enough for the national broadcast media to broadcast most of their games.

 

I don't suppose they will air next week's game. Against Oakland. Eh, I doubt it. I think every team plays the same night next week, and who the fock wants to watch Oakland. Although, it would be cool to see Flynn for a couple of series.
