patweisers44 865 Posted October 14, 2013 I turned it off at 5-1. Figured if the tigers win, great. If they lose somehow I would be batshiot crazy mad and not be able to sleep. Red sox are scrappy, but annoying as fock. it seems like every focking guy steps out after EVERY pitch and adjusts his batting gloves or helmet, etc. whatever. These games take so focking long. tikigods 76 Posted October 14, 2013 I was at the Sox game in the center field bleachers. I honestly thought Torii Hunter broke his neck going for that ball. He was flat on the ground with the whole Sox bullpen surrounding him for a good 30 seconds. Through the whole wild celebration of Papi's homer I'm looking down into the bullpen thinking "What if this guy is dead?" If he dies, he dies....then we pull the corpse out into centerfield and beat the fvck out of it with rakes ala Bob Stanley and the blow up doll incident. Seriously... 3:56 in game one for a 1-0 game where it was a one-hitter? At least Papelbon wasn't there to make it last five hours...

Cruzer 1,996 Posted October 16, 2013 You had to figure after the Tigers choked away Game 2 that they were toast. You don't kick the baseball Gods in the nutsack and expect to rebound in a series. Cardinals over Sox in 6.
Voltaire 5,489 Posted October 17, 2013 Even the Tigers 2013 bullpen can't choke away a seven run led can they? Best not tempt fate and let Fister throw a complete game. Screw ~100-120 pitches, I wouldn't pull my starter until they reached the 250 pitch mark or so. They can switch to throwing with their left hand if they want. Voltaire 5,489 Posted October 17, 2013 Ruh Roh, here comes the bullpen. They have three full innings to work and we've only staked them six runs.
Voltaire 5,489 Posted October 17, 2013 Only a single and not a home run, off to a great start so far..
Voltaire 5,489 Posted October 17, 2013 Now only a double, great job on not giving up the Home run so far. only let in one run after two hits by two hitters, great job bullpen.
Voltaire 5,489 Posted October 17, 2013 Austin Jackson makes for a heck of a fine #8 hitter: a 1.000 on base %, 2-2 with two walks.
CantTouchThis 23 Posted October 17, 2013 Austin Jackson makes for a heck of a fine #8 hitter: a 1.000 on base %, 2-2 with two walks. Now the question is...do you keep him there?
patweisers44 865 Posted October 17, 2013 NOT to worry, Detroit can't afford to pay their bills, the electric company turned off power to the stadium much like those slugs in New Orleans during the super bowl I work for the Energy Trading company thats owned by the same company that owns the utility, I can assure you that "unknown sub-station" issue card was supposed to only be played in an attempt to kill a sawx rally. Somebody is gonna pay for that, guarantee it.
Voltaire 5,489 Posted October 18, 2013 Um... we just had a guy move from first to third on a sacrifice bunt... I didn't know that was possible. Then a minute later we intentionally walk the next guy who promptly steals second base. Am I the only one that thinks this is a very odd series of events? At least Boston didn't score a run out of this.

drobeski 3,061 Posted October 21, 2013 Another no hitter? Good grief. This is the focking playoffs, shartstains. Because of working, then what time I can squeeze in is spit between getting caught up on the NFL results and this game, I can't follow it closely, but if the Tigers lose to this limp-######, unworthy team I'll eat my sox. Tigers need to score more an really stomp the sh*t of of this flaccid team. This flaccid team grand slammed their way into the world series. Those sox must be delicious.
