Excel Help

Recommended Posts

I have a thousand rows of data but one collumn. Lets say its peoples names in the cells but the same name may be in 5 cells.

For instance:

drobeski

NewbieJr

KSB2424

MDC

ReclinerPilot

KSB2424

KSB2424

IGotWorms

drobeski

NorthernVike

NorthernVike

Is there a formula or some function that I can find and replace all of the duplicates in my spreadsheet? What I need is a full list of all the names but nobody twice.

Geeks?

Slightly more round about, but you could do a pivot table on the column.

I've got a table for salary and performance review comparisons.  Can anyone tell me how to insert drop down options into cells to make it easily sortable by the various columns?

Click in the little triangle in the top left corner of the sheet (between the 1 and A).
Click “sort and filter” on the top right.
Click “filter”.

I know how to sort and what not.  I'm talking about inserting drop downs so that if I share with others they are easily able to sort by the various columns.

I wanna hang a map of the world in my house. Then I'm gonna put pins into all the locations that I've traveled to. But first, I'm gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won't fall down.

I don’t have a girlfriend, I just know a girl who would get really mad if she heard me say that.

This guy came up to me and said, 'You're gonna have to move, you're blocking a fire exit.' As though if there was a fire, I wasn't gonna run. If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.
