Vikings4ever 568 Posted February 24, 2014 Workouts for his position are going on today. I haven't seen any results for him yet. You could end up being right, though. 4.91 40, 17 reps on the bench press. Pretty underwhelming.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted February 24, 2014 The bad combine will be yet anothert excuse for coaches not to draft him. They can hide behind the poor numbers as if its purely a football move. It will encite a shitstorm but with no single team to blame it will die down after the nfl gets bagged on for a bit. This guy should be milking his Regis and Kelly or whatever tv show appearances while he can. He aint playin nfl football.

Sho Nuff 720 Posted February 24, 2014 He will be like Jason Collins in the NBA. A marginal player. Someone will draft him or sign him. He will tinker around for a bit and maybe even make a roster...but likely won't play much given what his skill level is looking like at this point. Has some decent film to fall back on though. JtmoneyJag 25 Posted February 24, 2014 God gave humans free will. It makes sense. Give men the same desire for other men as you or I have for women and then say whelp, you have free will. Lol, do you think you are attracted to women just because it is a sin to be attracted to men? No. It is who you are. Part of your make up. Problem is this contradicts the very word or bible you hold so dearly. Gay people, in my experience with Christianity, are a threat to it. I couldn't be apart of that religion that I grew up in. Too much judgment and too much hate. The irony of it all.
JtmoneyJag 25 Posted February 24, 2014 I've got a prediction for you Spanky: In time society will only continue to get more and more secular, slowly edging out those who still adhere to religious dogma and relegating them to semi-fanatical status. Along the way all peoples will truly become more equal and much of the intolerance and hate perpetuated by those who still adhere to religious dogma will fade into a somewhat embarrassing past - looked back on much like what I imagine Germans view the Nazi era of their own history. Unfortunately I do not see Jews and Muslims dancing in the streets of Jerusalem anytime soon, but I also do not see the rapture much of the current US religious fanatics seek coming to pass either. Ultimately such intolerant and repressive views - especially when espoused in public - are bad for business. We're all involved on a global scale now and time never runs backward despite the wishes of some. The clock. It ticks. Agreed and it is obvious. We are living in the times now where it is happening. There may be a God, but if there is one, I hope he isn't anything like he is portrayed in the Bible.

Nobody is personally hating on gays, the man upstairs made the rule book, not any of us, so please don't misconstrue we hate gays. However, now that he is a tweener player, there is no way I would pick him up as a FA. You are just setting yourself up for scrutiny. 32 teams are hoping that somebody else takes a chance. Dont get sensetive, this debate rages on for all time. You believe what you do and I believe what I do. It just happens that what you believe is ludicrous, completely devoid of fact, logic, science or reason, contrary to every study of science ever. How do you explain dinosaurs? Just an anti christian coverup thats corroborated by every archaeologist ever? Bible says the earth is 10k years old...we know its not and that dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. How is that not the end of all bible talk right there? Its like if you didnt believe that 1+1 was 2, then I show you facts that prove it is but you still dont believe me. Feel free to rebuttal without answering my arguments or points, its what religeous people do best. Iv railroaded a FF forum into a religeous debate enough for one day. I can simply debunk the bible very easily with facts yet people still believe, that right there shows its an impossible argument to win.

I dont think it has to do with anti gay as much as it has to do with outside drama and how it affects the team. No coach wants the headache or hate that will come from every little move he makes with the kid. Kid missed a meeting and was punished? Coach must be a bigot. Kid played bad and got benched? It is sad that in 2014 this is a topic. Barriers are tough but they do come down. I think a better chance of that would be if a current, semi high profile player came out. Not a draft prospect, not a retiree, not an old fringe roster guy. A current active starter like Welker or someone ike that. That would be an easier transition to eventual equality. But I can't blame him for wanting that. We all want to be judged equally amongst our peers. If he exists? What, you don't know yet? I know, difficult to actually find evidence. I've heard many preachers say look around you, it is obvious that God made us. Just look around. Yet 90% (and I may be on the low end) of all scientists don't believe in Christianity. They not only looked around, but found so much compelling evidence that the God of the bible doesn't exist. I guess when you are selling heal all berry juice, evidence is your enemy.
