Montee Ball Owners: Get in here

Recommended Posts

Are you handcuffing Hillman this week, or targeting Anderson?

Are you considering dropping Ball outright? His value couldn't be any lower. Pending MRI results today. "Out for a while" means at least a few weeks in my book. I don't even know if Ball is worth a "hold" as a roster spot, given his production.

Ball owner here. Drafted him 20th overall so thought I got a pretty decent steal... going to target Hillman on waivers but might not get him. If not then Anderson. I don't think I'm going to drop him unless the expected return date is like week 12 or later. Will wait and see on news.

I'm in a 16 team league so Hillman and Anderson are with another team, so I can't do anything but hope for the best. I won't drop him though, except he's out for the season or something..

I don't think I'll get Hillman, unless the other owners are all asleep at the wheel, if I win this week I'll be one of the dead last WW pickups in the order.

That's gonna be a deep league, tough to replace a starting RB off the WW then...

Looks like antone smith is about to become a full time starter in 2 of my leagues!

Im not sure what to do. I guess i will add hillman since he is next up. As long as he doesnt fumble he is serviceable.

I wasn't playing Montee Ball until after week 7 this season having been fortunate enough to get Forte and LeVeon Bell in the draft. His schedule the first 7 weeks was not favorable. The Oline it seems has failed to create many holes but at the same time I see the backups performing better with fewer opportunities.

At this point it is wait and see. How badly is he hurt and when he comes back what do they intend to do. RBBC? Who knows. The schedule for the second half of the season is much more favorable then the first half, but will they give him chances to run.

Before I run to add a Hillman or Anderson I will look to see their (Den) intentions when he returns. My league only permits 7 waiver moves for the season so I am in a different situation then most who can add and drop players at will.

He has sucked so bad...can't drop him (not sure why i can't yet).

Riding Forsett, FJax, and Ivory as long as I can.

May make a play for another Denver RB. Just getting a feel for it. PPR league so Hillman is probably more involved there. Anderson though seems to be more of a 1st and 2nd down back. or Denver may just go more pass happy. Both may have a role. Hillman will either already be rostered in some leagues or get picked up quick. Anderson will be easier to acquire as he was inactive last week.

Drafted him, CJ Anderson and Hillman. Course I waived Hillman 2 weeks ago. My opponent this comming week has j. charles on a bye, so it's gonna be a bidding war for Hillman.

Hey guys, Bronco fan here, I know it's early be keep an eye out for Juwan Thompson, the coaches really like this kid, he brings everything they want, he's physical, can block and can pick up the blitz. A lot of us honestly feel he'll be the guy towards the end of the season.

In my 10 teamer, I will probably cut him for Oliver this week

not bothering with Hillman or Anderson, can start Ellington, Jennings, Knowshown, hell even Mcfadden over either Denver schlub

His rushing TD looked good, but what are your thoughts on Hillman?

CJ Anderson/Hillman might turn into Asiata/McKinnon 2. Are we sure the board can handle it?

CJ was serving as the change of pace back before? Or was he just spelling Ball to give him a breather? Basically, was CJ the backup or the 3rd down specialist? I'm leaning toward 3rd down specialist, so it might be that Hillman does the early down work and CJ gets 3rd down.

We'll probably won't know until next sunday.. If I'd have to decide for one Denver RB, I'd take Hillman, he looked great against the Cardinals!

I have zero shot at getting Hillman as I'm sure he'll be the main add in most leagues off waivers.

With that said I'm more interested in hearing who's the better FA add between CJ Anderson and Juwan Thompson?

Anderson got some (11) carries from Ball, Thompson only a few (3) last night, so I'd go with Anderson. But honestly I think there are better FA RBs out there than these two, except you're in a very deep league.

I think it's speculation on who might become the feature back in Denver, and would be dependant on some injury update on Ball.

We do a $200/year bid for players on waivers. I have $185 left. Currently starting leveon bell and donald brown, with mathews on my bench.

Should i spend it all to get HIllman?

Or a chunk to get Oliver?

Yes, of course, but if you'd like to get one of these guys of the waiver wire you'll have to make a decision soon.

Trying to package him with D. Thomas for Graham. Trading with a Broncos fan, I hope he accepts before the official word.

I thought Graham left the game with a shoulder injury yesterday...

Broncos running back Montee Ball will not require surgery to repair the strained groin he suffered during a non-contact play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

However, Ball is expected to be sidelined a couple weeks, according to two NFL sources. Ball underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam Monday.

That's exactly it, you have to speculate on who will get the touches, before they start getting the touches. Hillman looked good with his opportunity, I think Den might give him the rock for a game and see what he can do.

Of course, Manning being Manning is going to want perfect execution of the pass-blocking, so he better have that down if he wants to play.

This is the guy to target.....if you are the frugal type....before everyone gets wind of him.

Had him targeted as a deep sleeper since preseason. Everything I have seen and read about this kid is positive, and that 8 yard TD Sunday looked good.

Broncos UDFA Juwan Thompson rushed three times for 15 yards and a touchdown in Denver's Week 5 win over the Cardinals.

The rookie from Duke became Denver's No. 2 tailback after Montee Ball exited with a groin injury, playing behind Ronnie Hillman. Thompson's fourth-quarter eight-yard touchdown run put the Broncos up 41-20. C.J. Anderson is the Broncos' best inside runner beyond Ball, and would surely be active if Ball missed Week 6 against the Jets. It's possible Thompson would either be used as part of a three-way committee, or weeded out in favor of Anderson.

Unfortunately I don't have the bench to hang onto a deep sleeper until he develops.

I may just have to take my chances with Hillman.
