Huh?

Romo's dismal performance against Philly on Thanksgiving has me worried

Recommended Posts

What's the weather looking like in Philly Sunday night?

mild as . mid 40s.

Bottom line is, he's averaged 200+ and 2 tds+ a game for the season, currently ranking just about #10 in most scoring formats. Philly a middle of the pack defense. They run their offense so fast they allow the other team to consistently own the time of possession stats. Great O line, great RB. Only risk here is that Murray scores all TDs. I'm forecasting them to score 4-5 TDs, so I'm fairly confident Murray won't score all of them. Unless you have a top 10 qb ahead of him, you start him period. I wouldn't go Flacco or whatever over him. Game has all the markings of a shootout. Hell if they score 7 TDs no one is going to jump out of a window at the shock of it. Peeps be over thinking this at the worst possible time. The thanksgiving game is concerning, but it's an outlier. THe variables involved with that in terms of london, short week etc are well documented. I think 250 and 2 TDs is his floor. I'll take that...

Yep.

I'm going Roethlisberger over Romo simply because ATL can't pressure the QB and I expect a lot of points in that game.

But I'd also have no problem starting Romo either. Probably won't go over 300 yards, but 3 TDs a definite possibility.

Should be a good game.

I see a shootout as well. The Eagles stopped Demarco for the most part on Thanksgiving. So I think Romo will attempt to air it out much more in this one.

Contemplating benching Brady for him :shocking:

one of the big issues is that PHI has one of the worst passing defenses in the league--actually worse that DAL's. last game, both teams were on a short week, so PHI built a very simple gameplan attacking romo's biggest weakness. DAL's gameplan was also simple, but turned out to be too basic--it played right into what the eagles were doing, and the eagles closed the deal.

this week, however, DAL has the opportunity to mitigate the pass rush through a long week of gameplanning. i'm anticipating more of a spread look, in order to force PHI to declare their scheme pre-snap. i also expect a more developed short passing game early, in order to set up the run.

I'm hoping my Eagles defense rises to the occasion and harasses Romo all night long.

I'm making the call:

Philly leads by 9 headed into the 4th... Romo hits T. Williams mid 4th for a td... 3 mins left, Sanchez hits Macklin for a 30 yard td - but it's called back on a Hands to the Face. Shady puts it in the ground very next play, Boys recover. Romo leads late drive for a Bailey 49 yard game winner 31, 30.

Well, I have Rivers and Wilson benched for the QB that CBS projected to have the fewest points of the 3: The Sanchize.

So I'm in favor of any scenario involving a zillion points.

Welp I'm going to need a big game from him. He needs to outscore Dez by 16 points. Here's hoping that four TD passes go to Murray, Witten, or Williams.

I'm loving a motivated DeMarco going into one of my 'ship games! I think he's going to put a mansized hole in the Indy D... :first:

Got any hot stock tips too Swami?

I wonder what Sanchez' car looks like in the Link parking lot? Or whether they've put out the flames on Bradley Fletcher yet...? Funny thing is, Philly can still very easily win this division.

Went back and forth all morning deciding between Romo & Flacco but went with Romo in a primetime matchup. Worked out well tonight thanks to no one covering Dez all night.

I know Sanchize didn't put up great numbers tonight, but I think I'm going back to that well next week @ WAS - unless someone can convince me that Wilson @ ARI will get me more points....
