phillybear 366 Posted June 23, 2015 Call them a racist and let them be No, that's not right at all. As collective thinking Americans, we must make sure they also lose their jobs and we take away their children and above all else never, never, never forgive them if they apologize. Oh, wait.... phillybear 366 Posted June 23, 2015 How long before "N-word" becomes the slur? Being that people say "n-word" 100 times more frequently than the actual word, but you know exactly what they mean, draw your own conclusions. I'd say the "letter plan" has backfired in the most spectacular way.

BunnysBastatrds 2,321 Posted June 23, 2015 I had a boss that used the word frequently. She knew I didn't use it and when she would, I'd give her the look. And she would tell me there is a big difference between "blacks and n*ggers". I heard that speech more times than I wanted to. It wasn't nearly as funny as Chris Rock's version. She lived in what we call here "The Parish". St. Bernard Parish. An old community of mostly mid to older white folks who decided they didn't want to live in New Orleans anymore. White flight at it's finest. I don't think it's coincidence they were the hardest hit by Katrina. Not one single home or business in the entire Parish didn't have at least eight feet of water. Her house included. The entire community was wiped out. Anyway, one day sometime in the late 90's, there is a story that made national news about a drive thru daiquiri shop in St. Bernard Parish that served a daiquiri called a Dead N***er. It was on the menu for years until a young couple from Vermont, or somewhere up north, came down to visit relatives. They were looking at the menu and asked what's a "Dead N***er?". The bartender replied "A good one." In shock, they leave and contact CNN and other national media outlets. Howard Stern and Robin did a piece on it. I asked my boss what she thought of that. Asked her if there should be any repercussions to the business or owners. Or the people who work there and said nothing or thought nothing about it. She said nothing should happen to them. It was stoopid, take it off the menu, and move on. I told her they should lose their liquor license. They put their employees at danger. She told me I was young and stoopid and I told her she was old and out of touch. She fired me but her son hired me back the next day. I stayed because it was a good paying job and I was learning a lot about the restaurant business. What do you think should have happend to that business? Note: I've Googled this story every way I could think of and can't find it. I've never Googled the actual n-word. I didn't know it doesn't come up when you type it in. I wonder how many other words Google does this with?
