Charcandrick West

Recommended Posts

Having 4 solid starters at RB & both KC RBs, I'll wait & hopefully this gets sorted out either by injury or with time.

I probably won't be forced into starting either West or Davis any time soon (knock on wood).

2) You've got a guy stepping up to try to fill as big a set of shoes (metaphorically) as you can find in the NFL.

Thanks for clarifying that wasn't literal. For a second, I thought Charcnado sucked because he had the wrong sized shoes on.

LOL. I remember people raving a guy at the combine who ran a ridiculous time in someone else's shoes. Can't remember who that was.

No, I was just pointing out that Charles is a little dude :)

(And thanks for using 'Charcnado'...I'm hoping to get that to stick, because awesome.)

I've been offered West for Martavous Bryant. I'm short of runners but I would hate to lose Bryant. The guy wouldn't take Lafell, insists on Bryant.

I wouldn't do that deal unless you were really desperate at rb.

Thanks for the word of caution. Losing Foster hurts, but I do have 3 other guys so maybe not desperate....yet. I will try to pick up David Cobb and hope he can be just as adequate as West, although I doubt it.

You need a rb more than Bryant , I would do the deal .

In case anyone is wondering about trade value, I just traded West for Randall Cobb to the Foster owner. I already have AP and Gurley.

I liked what he did last week , but I also like that Davis did nothing , that shows me he is the number rb going forward .

Now I'm in a quandry. I like West; I think he'll be solid going forward. However: I just got offered Odell Beckham for West and Kelce. I have Reed and Delanie Walker as TE's; I've been fighting lack of WR production, having rotated Hankerson with Maclin, and Dez hurt.

My RBs are Gore, Hillman/CJ, Martin, Duke, and West. We play a WR/RB/TE FLEX as well. If I trade, I'll have:

Bortles/Ben

Gore

Martin

Hillman/CJ

Duke Johnson

Dez

Maclin

OBJ

LaFell

Walker

Reed

I think I have to pull this trigger. Thoughts?

I'd do it. And I like West. It's just that I think OBJ is in the elite WR category. I also love trading two good players for an elite.

Should of checked OBJ schedule, you were terrible at RB and you have Dez coming back with Maclin or LaFell to use. You had a weak team already and needed that genie in a bottle like West.

How is Doug Martin paired with a PPR guy like Duke or Hillman - or Gore vs weak Ds - "terrible" @ RB?

Because I play FLEX, having OBJ and Dez together is a good thing, and allows Maclin to fill the FLEX while making only 2 RBs necessary.

Also: when you have an elite WR, you don't worry about 'schedule', and - in fact - a hard schedule may actually be a GOOD thing.

What are your realistic numbers for Duke every week that you are playing for WR numbers? You are trying to deal a RB that you think can get 100 yards and a td every week for a WR you think will do the same and your adding in Kelce. You have 3 good TEs and I would rather package 1 with any 2 backs that are not Martin because you have to have teams desperate for a TE. I have OBJ in 1 league and trust me he is licking his chops to fill 2 of his needs for his team.

Wut? Duke is the #9 RB in PPR leagues. Hillman has produced decent numbers in PPR as well. Beyond that, Gore and Martin as a RB duo isn't bad either - but I don't consider Gore an every week play.

'Think'. Small sample size. Very small. I trade West and Kelce for OBJ, and now I have two top three WRs - and before that I had a major hole there, and an RB - every week - who was scoring 10+pts on my bench.

I have Reed and Walker. I like both as much as Kelce, who has suffered Alex Smith.

Yeah...so? So was I. That's what a good trade is all about - and if West works all, good for him. If he doesn't, I still put a guaranteed every week starter in my lineup.

Remember what West did 2 weeks ago?

Nothing.
