Oh I get it, that Vyse alias

Sorry bro but I'm not an alias. And who would I be an alias of?

The doctor who likes winter sports.

Well I'm not a doctor. I detail boats as a living. Pretty far from that line of work

I do it as a hobby. I might have some questions for you. I just finished cutting a large hole in my center console to install a new cabinet.

I have lots of fiberglassing and gel coating in the next couple months.

Do you ever replace the carpet in the boats?

If I can help you out I will. Most of the stuff I do is mainly wash, wax, buff, etc.

Creepy focking doctor.

You're way too focking paranoid you know that? The guy doesn't seem to be an alias. I've never seen Pen use the word "bro" at all around here so I highly doubt that's him. Lighten up Francis and just enjoy a new poster

I've got embedded mold on the seats of my boat. What do you recommend for getting it cleaned up?

You are screwed. Your only solution is to buy a bigger boat.

For some reason my boat has a large bilge. I am in the process of cutting out the deck and building a custom fish box to fit in that space. Leaving only about 2 foot by 2 foot by 16" space in the bilge for bilge and livewell pumps.

I am also cutting out the front of my center console to install a custom cabinet. I am making the cabinet easily removable so that I have easy access to the wiring.

After those two projects are complete, I have forward seating that doesnt have storage space. I will cut the top off of the seats and convert the seats into storage space.

Really this is all practice for my next boat. I am trying to improve my fiberglass skills.

I am doing all of this from scratch, my only purchases are foam, fiberglass cloth, resin, and the hinges/latches.

Oh wow you are doing everything from scratch. That's pretty sweet. I'd love to see the finished product

Not to go all Tanatastic, but there is not a boat detailing company in Colorado. There are some detailing companies that also detail boats, and there one boat repair and detail company, but they would know all about fiberglass and gelcoat.

And yet you can afford summer snow boarding trips to Canada. I would think the spring and the summer is high demand season for anyone working on boats.

Well I have vacation days and since I can go snowboarding during the weekends in the fall and winter I don't need time off. During the summer I take a couple days off and head to Canada with 4 of my friends. We all split the cost so it's not that expensive.

Well that would make sense, since there isn't much water there either. What a rare breed this Vyse is

Vacation days for waxing and buffing boats? How's the 401k? Profit sharing, company car?

And you wax and buff these boats in the winter?

I do a couple different odd jobs. But yea I've done some in the winter as well. I also help with storing them during the winter. Trying to save up enough money and open my own bar. That's what I really want to do

You could call your bar "Fibber McGees".

You know. I'll just go back to the main board. Obvious this board isn't too friendly with newcomers. Thought it was cool but it's obvious full of people who would rather just be complete dicks

That's the way it is around here. No one gets more shite than me. But I'm tough like that.
