edjr 6,608 Posted October 20, 2016 Planned parenthood is a scam. It's so evident. They play a little game and say only part of the space is used for abortion, so they can get federal funding. But eveyone knows that it's an abortion clinic, that's the crux of their existence. Is poor people getting abortions a bad thing?
Strike 5,594 Posted October 20, 2016 How's that mandate working out? Say with poor, inner-city people who are likely to visit places like PP, and whose unwanted children are likely to become a burden on the system? I guess they all have insurance now? I don't know. Nor do I care. What I know is, based upon Obamacare, there is no reason for my tax dollars to fund PP giving out birth control pills. Everyone should have health insurance, and the birth control is included in that. If that's not happening maybe Obama should start handing the sh*t out. It's his crappy law. RaiderHaters Revenge 4,363 Posted October 20, 2016 lets be clear, though even though I am anti-abortion and think its morally wrong, I truly don't give a what happens, I just don't believe we should be paying for it
rholio 339 Posted October 20, 2016 Would rather pay them to get Norplant and let the std's wipe em out. You'd be on here in a heartbeat complaining about tax money paying for poor people to fock. Edit- Strike is already complaining about it. Too funny.

PP does not use federal funds for abortions. HTH
Strike 5,594 Posted October 20, 2016 So you don't really care about the issue in question, just wanted to rail about Obamacare. Gotcha. I'm not railing against Obamacare. This isn't about Obamacare I don't think our tax dollars should fund PP. I don't care if they do whatever they do, but I don't think it's government's role to fund it. Obamacare just offers the vehicle where it shouldn't be necessary to fund PP anyways.

Then someone quotes you (like this shiit above) and I realize I've made the right decision. So, 3% of their activities are abortion and that the "crux of their existence". ?? So, according to you, they're risking federal jail time by violating a federal law proscribing FF for abortions, there are millions of loons who'd love to see that - but NO ONE has proven that in all these years No WONDER you guys hate facts so much. I tend to agree with a lot of this, but I'm also a believer in the "a stitch in time saves nine" theory. A few bucks for birth control seems like money well-spent compared to having another child on the rolls for God knows how long. I don't really care about the specific avenue, but I think it's in our best interests to ensure that contraception is cheap and relatively readily available. A lot of girls aren't going to want to run through their parents insurance to get birth control, whether it be Obamacare, or Medicaid, or whatever.
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,363 Posted October 20, 2016 Look wiff it's not 3%. And it's not 97% either but it's probably 20-40% if you actually look into it. They count giving out conforms as an interaction they do 400k abortions a year and provide 11mil services. But when you get to actual medical procedures the numbers are much higher. And while they say they don't use funding for the actual abortion that may be tru. But they do use funding to by supplies pay nurses and doctors pay rental fees and charge the state for each time the girl comes in during the procedure for a visit

There was a project in CO that was hugely successful: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/06/science/colorados-push-against-teenage-pregnancies-is-a-startling-success.html?_r=0 I just have problems with our government being wasteful, and I have problems with them just giving money to groups. There's no accountability.
