Obama's popularity is way higher than either of these 2. Hillary is smart by not throwing Obama under the bus and linking with him. Her advisors are way smarter than Trump's. Trumps bashing of Obama is just firing up his base and not attracting more voters.

Take the opening SCOTUS topic. I was looking for Hillary to have a more centrist approach to bring undecideds in. But instead she was trying to rally her base, which I don't think will appreciably bring out more voters. Trump on abortion as well - there is a way to support minimal abortions without saying you are going to appoint SCOTUSes who oppose Roe v. Wade.
