It's funny when blue collar workers read articles on brietbart about Bitcoin and think they know economic theory.

It’s even funnier when people that don’t read Brietbart make up stuff about what’s in it.

I've repeatedly... Repeatedly... Said a slow trickle of inflation.  Venezuela had hyperinflation.

But you bring up another beef I have with Bitcoin.  Why on earth would people in the US want to essentially tie US currency to countries like Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and North Korea?  That is essentially what you're advocating if you want to adopt Bitcoin as a world currency.

Yes.... you have.... and I pointed out that small inflation turns into large inflation eventually. Eventually the governing body screws it up and creates a major issue. That is what we are looking at now. An added benefit to buying into bitcoin is that it helps people in poor countries who have hyper inflation every single year. Also their hyper inflation should have you worried since we are not immune.

Let's recap, the US has small inflation for decades. Then all of a sudden they decide to print 50% more money in 2020. Not a 50% boost in the years typical printing, 50% of all the dollars ever printed, ever. And it's not stopping. The liberals are having a field day, but even the republicans stopped being fiscally responsible years ago

They use Trust Wallet. Is that good?

It has the word trust in it. Of course it's good.

I expect celebs, bigwigs (large investors) who own Bitcoin to go public soon (even more fast and furious than they have already) with "Bitcoin is good, folks!" ,  and  "This is exactly what we expected and its right where we want it. Its too daa mooon from here!", "Bitcoin is the future"  in an attempt to pull its price up.

Same logic people used to buy gold in 2008

Btc is not an inflation hedge.  It's a speculative asset.

Its absolutely a speculative asset.

IF bitcoin "fails" in whatever sense.... the bitcoiners won't say "Jeez I missed that.  Didn't see it coming.  I guess I didn't know as much as I thought"

And I'm not talking about this board.  I'm talking bigger scale.

Many will say "Well the only reason it failed is because the government or big banks or this entity or that entity didn't want it getting to big, or they were jealous, or fearful of it hurting their own pockets etc. We should all be millionaires right night, but they (government, big banks etc) took it away from us. "

I say that as I see more and more countries governments siding against Bitcoin.

That’s the question he asked me as well.

He said that I should invest in DogeKiller and Poo if I want to make a big profit.

I decided to just stick with $1500 on Bitcoin and $1500 on Ethereum.

I have $1500 left, I respect your advice whatever it is.

Here is a copy of what they did:

Date and time May 21, 2021 10:19 PDT
Amount 0.03959489 BTC
Exchange rate @ $37,327.54 / BTC
Subtotal $1,477.98
Coinbase Fee $22.02
Total $1,500.00
Date and time May 21, 2021 10:18 PDT
Amount 0.59575246 ETH
Exchange rate @ $2,480.86 / ETH
Subtotal $1,477.98
Coinbase Fee $22.02
Total

$1,500.00

That's good and a smart play. If you want a little more risk without getting into literally sh1tcoins like "poo" I'd get.

Cardano ADA

Polkadot DOT

Binance Coin BNB

THETA THETA

There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying more Bitcoin and ETH though.

Unlike the far superior crypto. It takes regular money a week or more to clear. So when your sister put the money into coinbase they could buy immediately but couldn't move the coins until the bank transfer actually clears. Nothing to worry about.

Where is are you having her send the coins?

Yeah I saw that. Makes me laugh a drug bust wasn't for drugs.

Also you mean to tell me the guy pushing solar energy is now pushing that same technology on people who are not the major cause of pollution? I wonder how all those tesla cars are powered?

Btw, my sister’s husband says he doesn’t have money in Coinbase or Binance. He only uses Uniswap and Pancake swap.
He doesn’t even have Bitcoin. He says he only does small cap coins. (More profitable.)

Yep.  Most of the Tesla's in the world are powered by fossil fuel generated electricity.

He still has his accounts, he just doesn't use them to buy things for himself anymore. He's switched over to using those other things. He was trying to explain it to me but my head was going to explode trying to understand why. Something about market caps and Bitcoin can only go but so high in value.

Nope I only wish I bought more. My average price is $35k. Last year this time is I was focused on Ethereum though and bought bitcoin a little later in the year. Etheruem was $200 at this time.

So now you are on the verge of being underwater on BitTurd. Could have dumped at $60k like the smart $ did. Then bought it right back. Bulls make $, Bears make $. pigs get slaughtered.

Well, an 80% plus gain in 6 months on a ponzi scheme might be a good idea to sell.

Yes. The longer it stays in this price region the more I will be able to buy. I know long term the price is going parabolic, so the short term highs do not matter to me.

Here is a novel idea

Instead of wanting your money to become less valuable over time via inflation, what if your money became more valuable over time?

People are brainwashed into thinking we need a currency that debases. Let's change that. Go out an buy a small chunk of bitcoin this weekend while the price is suppressed.

You don't KNOW it. You assume and hope it does.

Again.... I hope you make tons of cash...as well as Peenie and CDub.   I'm all for someone making money and bettering themselves.

I just choose other investments.  Good luck.

It depends. If I owned 0 bitcoin, I would buy right now. Because I own a nice chunk, I'm waiting to see if it drops below 30k

Well you invest because you believe your asset will appreciate right? I wouldn't invest in bitcoin if I didn't think it would appreciate

Thanks. I don’t own 0 but certainly don’t own a decent chunk either. Trying to hold out for lowest $$
