Cruzer 1,993 Posted July 11, 2017 You're right. They heard the Cowboys were in first place and crawled out of their holes. Plus they knew deep down inside, like everyone else, that Romo was a choke artist and would never win. When he was gone they knew then they actually had a chance. There is something to that - it's the natural wave that comes with winning.. When teams are down, they disappear off the map..... But when teams like Dallas, NE, Pitt - when those teams are on top, it's different than other teams being on top - ratings wise anyways........ I'm not saying it's fair or even understandable - it's just the way it is.
wiffleball 4,679 Posted July 11, 2017 See, another myopic, liberal attempt to tell you what's up is down, whats wet is dry and what's black is white. Have to love the "science" people who dismiss data that doesn't suit them. Hacks. You mean, like those inauguration crowd photos? Lol All the s*** that's gone down in the NFL, child beatings, wife beatings, murder, drug dealing, dog fighting, but yeah some third-string non-starting not even having a team quarterback is single-handedly bringing down the league. There couldn't possibly be any other contributing factors. Wow.
wiffleball 4,679 Posted July 11, 2017 Oh, do you want to guess who has the top leading NFL jersey sales? Doesn't exactly sound like a demographic that's running away from the league in hordes.

I don't dismiss one of them, contrary to what is shown, because it doesn't suit my SJW crusade.
Baker Boy 1,501 Posted July 11, 2017 You are a sad little man. Politics really rules your every thought doesn't it? Some half wit takes a knee in protest of something, and you bail on something you love... Maybe we can get kaep to protest against focking. Then perhaps you snowflakes would breed less. And yes, I find the protests utterly classless. But really, take a focking breath before you get the vapors. Titans nails it again. What kind of snowflakey beta-cuck sissy doesn't watch the NFL because they care about the political leanings of a handful of players? I can't imagine how these hypersensitive crybabies get through ordinary life. Sports was always a place where we could go to get away from politics.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted July 11, 2017 Sports was always a place where we could go to get away from politics. Like you ever get away from politics. You sit in the corner of the old folks home muttering about liberals and repeating, repeating the same six quotes over and over, and carving your stupid little "things liberals defend" list into walls. I agree, he shouldn't be doing that sh!t and the tv crews shouldn't show it. But damn, a little perspective.

Athletes can say whatever they want on there own time. The League is just as guilty with the wearing on pink for a month, etc. they are always pushing something.

Things have changed and the tatted up pampered multi millionaire player getting worked up over Mike Brown and Eric Garner doesn't quite ring out the same. We've come a long way. Big Guy 1,400 Posted July 11, 2017 Your Breitbart article blaming Kaepernick, who isn't even on a roster, failed to mention Viagra and Cialis switching to generic drugs or the auto industry not spending as much money on commercials. Or the 3-6% increase in cost per ad spot. Nope. Let's blame Kaepernick. Such sad bigots. He's an anti American douche, no matter what color.....don't be naive. And yes, his drama and "leadership" had an effect on viewers.
Big Guy 1,400 Posted July 11, 2017 Yeah the NFL should stay away from controversial issues like cancer. What about the pro cancer fans? Yes they should! FOCK THE PINK bullchit and all the other social groupthink crap. It's common knowledge that "curing cancer" is another scam. NFL..... Week 1 ~ "We'll kick it off with "Bullemia Week".....have them all wear barf colored shoes. Week 2 ~ "Domestic Violence, let's find a player (No PATS!!) and suspend him then demonize him" Week 3 ~ "Support Black Kids, let them do some crazy chit at halftime and we'll fly Black Panther Flags and trash Trump" the list goes on.........though these are semi fictional, I'm sure it's either on deck or being considered. Immediately following the conclusion of the election, viewership for weeks 10-17 were off by 1% compared with the same time period a season prior. The "Kaepernick effect" is beyond overblown. In all seriousness, do you (personally) know anyone who quit watching the NFL bcoz of Kaep?..................... Do you know of anyone here who stop watching the NFL bcoz of Kaep? I honestly do not know a single one. In fact, most couldn't have told you who in the world Keap was even after the controversy blew up........... Now I do know of some who've tuned out due to the officiating and bcoz of the monstrosity of commercials and instant replay reviews - but none actually bcoz of Patriotism. It Happens Well, there you go - there are some for sure.. I just don't personally know of any... Nor do I understand why anyone in NY would give a hoot about what some backup qb on the West coast is doing during the Anthem - but I digress. A-Fraud killed my fire when he put on a Rangers uni - but I never stopped watching bcoz of it.

I know people who won't eat at chick fil a or papa johns, for example. It's not healthy for a society. As I said, I've largely stopped watching, but mainly that was that the product sucks. And the 13 hour time difference finished the job.
