The best stuff can be found in album cuts, but unless you owned the album you wouldn't know about it. You have to go with singles because that's what people know. The exception being Stairway to Heaven, which was never a single, but got radio play anyway because it was just such a great song.

98 for me. There where some things that were popular from the 70s when I was that age (Bob Marley, Stones, Doors, Beatles) but mostly I got into it after law school. I raided my dads collection and got really into a lot of stuff. Dad was a huge music guy, so I know more than I thought at first.

 

 

Right now Im just flipping down a list of 500 top songs of the 70s and picking ones I love. I have a list at least 15 deep lined up.

 

I leave Saturday for Southeast Asia. Will be in Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam for 30 days. I will have WiFi nightly at hotels, and will likely have a SIM card much of the time. But there will be periods where I imagine I will have no internet (two day boat down the Mekong, night in the bfe village, etc.) so Im putting together a list for volty to pick from in case I get out of pocket.

 

Volty is a good proxy. Same time zone and he and I have pretty radically different music taste, so poaching isnt a concern.

Same here. Rode the LONG bus, not the short bus you bitches. An hour long ride in the morning. We were first on. The only bus at that time where the driver wired up speakers in it and played the best rock station in the area. Couldn't wait for it to come on. Now it's cringe worthy.
