4.10 Highway Star - Deep Purple

Nice pick up, was definitely on my short list (and ahead of Smoke on the Water, personally).

HS is a better song but SOTW is as iconic 70's song as there is.

I like it as well but to me Magic Man is their best song. But that's just me.

Holy , you did take that in the 80s draft. That one goes in the worst ever category as well.

4.13. Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith.

My favorite of all their songs.

Sorry if I held anyone up. Had hoops practice after work.

I believe this song is actually the first of the draft to feature the talk box. Frampton's of course more pronounced, but it's the same effect that Joe uses here during the intro.

I thought the same. Who can produce the worst ###### songs ever created. I would say spanning all decades.

I like some deeper Aerosmith songs then the two hits drafted.

Are you talking about album cuts?

Probably

Probably

The best stuff can be found in album cuts, but unless you owned the album you wouldn't know about it. You have to go with singles because that's what people know. The exception being Stairway to Heaven, which was never a single, but got radio play anyway because it was just such a great song.

In fact(and this is meant as no slam on any of my fellow drafters) I could say that about a lot of the bands already chosen, including my own.In fact I can't even listen to classic rock radio anymore it's the same tunes over and over.
