I believe the NYT story

The Electoral College is a disaster for a democracy.

We're good then, seeing as we don't live in one. It's called a constitutional republic.

Hillary didnt ?

Of course she did. But I’m not sure I’ve heard her claiming she lost because she didn’t try to win the electoral college. :dunno:

When popular vote matters, the Republicans will run a campaign with that in mind.

Until then, keep whining like a little b!tch about the rules.

I thought we were talking about t the will of the American people? Most didnt want Trump and think hes done a bad job. :dunno:

Seriously, though, would you admit that you royally up? That's why she's blaming everyone else and not taking any responsibility for her loss.

She's an arrogant, entitled c#nt. America dodged a bullet by not electing her.

No one would say that. If they DID say that, then Hillary would be president.

Trump was the lesser of two terrible candidates. Think about that for a second.

You were saying something about the will of the people? Electoral college somehow reflects that better than the popular vote in 2016 or todays polls?

Says the sore losers. Funny how no liberals were complaining about it when Democrats were winning.

So abolishing the electoral college would require a constitutional amendment. Good luck with that. 2/3 rds of the states. Be lucky to get 10. Just keep bringing in South Americans and Muslims and the democrats can get power back at the polls. And rule over what was once a great civilization reduced to catering to people who still crap in the street.

And some people would say MORE people DID say that, they were just in the wrong states.

Those are the current rules, popular vote is nothing more than a talking point.

Not sure what to tell ya bud.

:dunno:

And, polls? Dude, just stop, it's focking pathetic. The only poll that matters occurs on election day bubba. Thought y'all would have learned that by now..

Funny how they just can't let that go. It's sad...and pathetic.

Do they really think that means anything in POTUS elections?

Dude - I think you were so excited to try and catch someone that you didn't realize it backfired on you. In fact, it hardly even applied to the context of our posts.

I disagreed with you AND Trump when you both say the electoral college is bad.

Sorry, but no victory dance for Wiff.

Those aren't the rules, why do you people spend time on this stuff. Does it somehow make you feel better?

You’re right...I guess the thoughts of the POTUS aren’t important.

I know those are the rules. Youre saying the results of the electoral college in 2016 is a better indicator of the will of the people than the popular vote the same year or every poll today?

I think that one did me in fellas.. These idiots can't be reasoned with.

MDC is advocating we determine policy based on ABC's (and the like) daily polling data... You can't have meaningful conversations with somebody who would suggest that sort of thing.

Im actually not saying that at all. Im saying you cant say a POTUS with a 40% approval rating who lost the popular represents the will of the people. And deep down you know Im right.

Case closed I win again.

Lets all step away from who and what were talking about. Breathe. Lets put our common sense, normal hats on.

Cant we all agree that an anonymous opinion piece in the paper about a team/administration/company is weak and should be frowned upon?

Were sports fans. This would be like a WR anonymously trashing his QB to the media.

Either be a man and say it publicly, or figure it out in the locker room.

If this person really feels this way, RESIGN, and come out and speak out why you did. Id respect that.

But this anonymous insider op-ed? Does it get anymore weak an that? Be a focking man / woman and stand up...be heard.

I think it was Kellyanne Conway. Thats a lady that always seems to have a game plan. She has the forethought to go ahead and set herself up somewhat for whatever comes next.

Colbert played six different clips of Pence using the word "lodestar" in the last two years in various speeches. And that was one of the key words used in the NYT OP-ED. He might have slipped up in writing this since the word is commonly used...by only him.

Good work, Pence. I believe every single word of your account on the mayhem inside the WH.
