Iron druid...you can look online for books like dresden files.  They actually are several...but dresden was the original.  They even tried to have a series on tv...didnt last long.  Its called Urban Fantasy as a genre.

Yeah I read Bone Lord and the Dragon Breeder books... A bit prony... Haha. But not bad lit.  I have the creation mage in que.

Check out the Dungeon Crawler Carl series ... A bit goofy but fun.

@mmmmm...beer might enjoy this one. I know he's more of a Sci-Fi guy but it traces the rise and fall of the Comanches. 

They were the first of the plains Indians to domesticate horses. And they quickly became excellent horseman. It helped them dominate the plains for a very long time.

No, he does a good job of explaining the concepts for a person who isn't versed in quantum theory.  It may actually serve as a good primer.  There is a discussion with the author at the end of the book where he talks about it, including the fact that he isn't a techie.

I read that a few years ago. If I remember right the main character is a bit of a Gary Stu which I didn't like. I think he has a perfect memory or something like that.

Does your town have a public library?  They have a free service you can download ebooks..check into it.  Its free

I had to look up that reference, hadn't heard it.  Anyway, no, he is a very flawed guy, quite normal other than being a physicist.  Drinks beer as well.

I’m sure Charleston does. I’m going to buy an iPad Pro today for class cause when we Zoom it’s in my MacBook and can’t take notes. So I can read the books on the iPad. I’ll definitely check it out. I know we have one for the public and we have one at the medical school that offers free books also

Thanks but I don't.  I still generally prefer books although I'll occasionally grab free/cheap ones for kindle.  And I don't read enough for the sub anyway.

Problem I’ve had is a lot of stuff I’ve seen at Barnes and noble is mainly female lead characters (tired of reading those), black empowerment, or gay lead characters. I googled this series and it seems pretty solid. Gonna add it to my list of what to read next

I did not get this but I read Bill O’Reilys Killing the Mob.

If all you're using it for is that, get the iPad air instead. The pro is enormous overkill.

The base model is sh!t, but the new air is very nice.

Even better, get a Samsung galaxy tab s7+. Better screen. Better sound. Can torrent.

I already got my iPad. It was the pro but it wasn’t the one with the biggest screen. It was the one with a slightly smaller screen. Can’t recall exactly how big it is but it’s pretty nice. Syncs up well with my MacBook and iPhone which is nice cause when I download the notes on my laptop it also is available on my iPad. During class, I use the iPad to take notes on the PowerPoint while usin my MacBook for Zoom. Also got the pen so that I can write the notes on the PowerPoint slides themselves. Worked out really nice.
